Actually, it does matter. You need an elite qb to win in this league. You can have a great D all you want, but a game managing QB won't cut it. The Giants have a great D, but it helps that they have an elite QB and a deadly passing attack. That is something the 49ers strongly lack, and until they address that, they aren't even going to win the NFC.
