Good win by Rashad and very good main event. Props to Phil Davis as well, he took so much punishment. He'll def learn from this experience.
Think Davis was a little s shocked by the way the first round ended. When the second ended the same way I think his whole game plan went out the window.
Not sure yet if this fight showed that Evans is ready for another le shot or not. He definitely came prepared but couldn't finish Davis off.
Good night of fights on Fox. The first fight was disappointing with that awful 3rd round. I was embarrassed for the UFC with that being on national television. The second fight was pretty exciting. I had Bisping winning 29-28, but I'm not surprised with Sonnen getting the nod due to takedowns which MMA judges are obsessed with right now. The one judge who called it 30-27 should be fired.
Rashad looked good against Davis. His experience showed. He has earned his le shot. That being said I don't think he has much to offer Jon Jones. To be fair, I don't think anyone does in the Light Heavyweight division right now.
Yeah that first fight was crap. Seemed like they moved in slow-mo. But UFC can't blow their wad for free all the time. Gotta show casual fans just enough to keep them buyiing pay-per-views. Evans-Davis was enough to ensure that.
