ABC ting all over John Lucas III.

And wtf was that ho talking about? "John Lucas, who is not a short man". Dude is 5'11" after you fudge the numbers a bit to give him an extra inch or two. It's basically like jumping over DPG (when he's standing on a 5-inch box).

Lebron was amazing outside of the last 2 mins. Same with Rose ...
I said it when Rose came into the league that he would be a choker. He's proven that right in the moments where you look at someone as a choker. Memphis seriously messed with his mind IMO. He is a fantastic player but a proven choker in the truly elite moments.

Lebron absolutely shut down Rose on that last play. He manned up, took the best player and shut him down. He did miss FT's but he made the game winning play.

Um... LeBron should be able to shut down Rose. It'd be strange if he couldn't match up with Rose. Not sure why he gets "props" for that.

I'm not hating on Rose. You can be an elite player and be a choker. Those true moments don't come around too often, so you can overcome. Rose is prob the best PG in the league (if not he's #2-3), but he has shown to be a choker. He can change that, but he hasn't and it's hard to do so.

Lebron has had some epic chokes, but he can make up for that on defense (like today) and he's taken a team to the finals on his own back at a young age in one of the most incredible playoff series I've ever seen (Cavs/Pistons).

Not sure if serious. A small forward is supposed to be able to shut down a point guard who just so happens to be the MVP? Ok.

Name me any other SF or player for that matter that shuts down Rose? He is one of the best offensive players/pgs in the game.

Not sure if you realize LeBron isn't a typical small forward.

If we're going to pretend like lebron isn't an athletic freak (possibly the most athletic player the NBA has ever seen) then ok, I'll play along...

I'm really impressed with how well LeBron plays Rose. Props for being able to stay with him off the dribble. Props for being able to stay with him in the air and contest his shots.

So why does that mean he shouldn't get credit for being able to shut down the MVP and one of the best offensive players in the game? Because Lebron is great he doesn't deserve credit for shutting down the MVP when no one really can do it? If people don't get credit for doing something no one else does, what in the do they get credit for ?

Just make the playoffs. After that, it's just 16 teams in the burlap sack and a blind reach in.

You can credit him for doing it, but it's funny to see you pimp that as a feat to be in awe of.

That isn't the case in the NBA. The better and more talented teams almost always win.

Holy . I am in awe when someone is a phenomenal defender and locks a premier player completely up when focused. It's something to be in awe of because he's such a freak.

    - Jag

Playing solid defense on a player 5 inches shorter and arguably less athletic is comparable to anchoring a le team and being one of the greatest players of all time.

Thanks for putting in this gnsf-esque type work.

Jag has had some awful takes lately, tbh..

he also claimed Reggie Miller, Iverson, Kidd and Nash are on a different level than Lebron and Wade..

Saying that being able to lock down Rose is nothing special and deserves no real praise is GNSF tbh...

"playing solid defense on a player 5 inches shorter....". If it was that easy just to put a big athletic guy on an elite scoring PG, there would be a line of guys able to do so.
