This is for real ?
This is for real ?
Looks like they spent a lot of money on that.
Why? I have no idea.
r u serious?
So mavs make a commercial about spurs fans ing their daughter. Weird.
Did they not spend a lot of money on it?
Babies in dog collars? It's the "jerk store" burn writ large.
It's a spoof on a Direct TV commercial.
Gotta love Cuban for trying to build the rivalry. I still don't think there is a better one currently in the NBA.
There's an ongoing obsession up there with the Spurs. I went to a playoff game in Dallas in 2006 and got to see some video about Ginobili about 7 times during the course of my stay.
They should have at least had a mariachi band at the wedding.
"I still don't think there is a better one currently in the NBA."
nobody outside of TX gives a hoot about Spurs-Mavs rivalry.
By far the best ongoing rivalry in the NBA and one of the best in the History of sports.
Haha, great commercial.
That's their problem. Every time the Mavs and Spurs meet up, it's always a great game with both sides incensed at the refs after the game (a good sign of a rivalry). It's kind of funny that this last game was not featured on the Daily Dime on ESPN today. Of course it had to be the Heat. That's how rivalries join national acclaim, they have to be recognized.

they need to work on their stereotypical spur fan though
I thought it was pretty funny tbh.
Come on, it's good fun, and yes it's good for the Spurs and Mavs brand. Most of the ESPN attention was on the Heat and Bulls and rightly so given how good they have been the last two seasons.
But Stein kept tweeting that a Mavs-Spurs game is still as good as ever, a sign that the rivalry goes on. Aren't you glad that the Rockets are not in there at all?

You got to hate the mavs even more for this commercial...however I agree with Jason Minixx on the Jason Minixx show, the idea of the commercial is clever...
And tortilla chips with dip on every table.
Uh Hem...ST is not responsible for the content and comments of it's viewers.
Frankly it's not about national repute. Rivalries are something to look forward to even when your team is having a down year bc no matter what the records might indicate pride -- whether regional or not -- is at stake. , I'm more forgiving of the Cowboys when they don't make the playoffs, than I am if they lose the season series to the Eagles.
Spurs-Mavs is the only match up in the NBA resembling anything near a "rivalry." Maybe with a playoff series under its belt, LAL-LAC, but that's still a ways. No other active pairing of teams has as much history.
Fans outside do! I have met a few Mavs or Spurs fans here in VA and they know well of it and hate the other team! It does hold some weight with fans. I am sure a real NBA fan enjoys it as well no matter what team.
