He's dead
Some sites have him listed with a return date of Feb 1st... anybody heard anything about his recovery?
I seriously forgot he was on the team.
He was really underrated this season. I think he has the potential to be the best back up PG since Claxton.
I tried googling info on his injury, but it seems like he was supposed to be out 4-6 weeks, so if anything I figured he wouldn't be back till mid to late February.
He posted some pictures on twitter the other day of him during rehab:

He looks like an old guy with his headband on, but in those pics he's gangsta
Photos look like a good sign that Ford is getting healthy. Thanks for posting.
Would love to have that gym/work out in it. Lol.
Heard that both him and Manu were going to be returning sometime in the first two weeks of February.
I haven't heard anything about Manu's recovery. He has been very quiet lately.Heard that both him and Manu were going to be returning sometime in the first two weeks of February.
Question. TJ and Manu come back healthy and ready to play. How do the rest of the players fit in the rotation? Some have been deservedly earning time on the court. Does TJ get the automatic nod as primary b/u?
Well, I think CoJo goes back to Austin almost immediately, and Anderson back to obscurity. Hopefully RJ's minutes get "managed" downward.
When he went out, they were saying he and Manu would be back around the same time...we'll see...
Where do I hit the "Like" button on all of this?
I agree about CoJo. Interesting point you bring up about Anderson. What if he starts to produce better than Kawhi? Maybe Kawhi goes to D league if Anderson starts providing good D but with more consistent offensive production.
If they send Kawhi down to the D-League for James Anderson I will have to murder some people...
Yeah, I don't see that happening. They've made their choice with James.
TJ Ford is a freaking beast. I cant wait for him to come back
lol, Kawhi isn't going anywhere. He's 10 times the player Anderson is.
http://blog.mysanantonio.com/spursna...red-left-hand/The Spurs’ other injured guard, backup point T.J. Ford, is facing a later return from the torn left hamstring he suffered Jan. 10 at Milwaukee.
“He’s further away,” Popovich said. “Hamstrings are a tricky thing.”
Agreed. Dude was looking like the best backup since Speedy (to be repeated ad infinitum) and even better. Love his game and personality and I hope he regains his spot in the rotation.
I was thinking Feb 18th @LAC for a return for Manu. TJ around the same time also. Might be better to bring 1 back at a time though.
As opposed to what?
Cory Joseph?
Gary Neal?
Danny Green?
The Gary Neal PG experiment has occured with great angst to this forum.
And while Cory Joe has played well in stints, all you have to do is look at Parker's minutes when TJ was healthy and then afterwards. Cory Joe isn't really a backup. Hes a place-holder for 5 minutes a night.
Lastly, Danny Green has been a serviceable ball handler, but not much of a point guard. He can fill-in in a pinch - but you're not getting the offensive production of a point guard.
No, TJ Ford is our back-up, and so long as hes healthy he'll get those minutes.
I don't know if you noticed I said "what if". Anything could happen with rookies and 1st year players. And I agree...I think Kawhi is better. But...he's also more "D-league" expendable being this his rookie season if he hits a slump or "rookie wall". Anderson on the other hand, being he was not extended, if he starts playing better...could build trade value for the Spurs than being sent to the D-league.
As opposed to other's on the team if they start playing very well as a unit and when Ginobili comes back who is also a good P/G in his own right.
I don't think it would be a given unless as you pointed out...nobody else on the team could spell Parker.
