High gas prices = good news for me. Give me your money, es.
If there was a shower at work, I would totally ride a bike here.

You work in a gas station? Of course Halberto cannot have anything to do with Haliburton.
1) I'm a geologist for a small exploration company.
2) I think people that work at gas stations make most their profit from selling stuff in the store
so you live in houston? my condolences.
No I live in Austin
You guys are making terrible assumptions

oh damn you lucky rock jock
Haha Im here for now, but I imagine I'll be in Houston eventually in my career. Kind of a bummer. Beats living in Montana, though.
You're nuts, man; a state with Glacier, the Beartooths, Yellowstone, and within driving distance of Grand Teton and the Winds cannot suck.
until it all blows to
I'd rather die quickly in the explosion than drown as the volcanic glass shards that spread to the Texas air fill my lungs full of blood.
but then you wouldn't be able to give your grand "im dying" speech. so much more poetic to die choking on your own blood.
True; still worth the sacrifice to not be in Houston tbh.
That would be nice, except I wouldn't be near any of those things. Also, Houston has a lot of hot asian girls
Gotta go to LA or SF if you wan't the FOB's tbh.
they can put up whatever prices, cause they know ppl will end up paying for it....
someone needs to tell me why western countries that dont absorb/buy much, but are producing the oil also charges the same market rate...while u look at the middle east oil producing countries that sells the dirt cheap to its people.....
switchin to LPG will be cheaper $$, but it drinks as much as more then petrol....hence LPG is at prices that petrol was 10-15yrs ago...and slowly creepin up
Well no why would you they take the money from you before it lands on your payroll.
High gas prices suck but it's a losing battle. Unless you live in a big city that has good public transportation, you're gonna get ed by the oil companies.
where a ticket costs more then driving to work (excluding paid parking, unless you find free parking)
lol Pat selling your car
Or if you commute. , I got a job offer closer to my home, within bike riding distance, but there's about 5 to 6 hills I'd have to climb to get there. Tried it once and it nearly killed me. Need to get in better shape.
Having said that, it wouldn't matter if I was in shape or not, because I'd be sweaty as when I got there.
Also, I commute 25 miles one way every day, so gas prices going up will cause me to look for another job closer to home, which kind of sucks because I actually like where I work.
What I find funny is the people that will drive out of their way to save a couple cents per gallon. They probably lost more in gas than they saved.
There is a lot of oil and gas related jobs coming to San antonio and more will be coming. That's what happens when you are the largest city to a good chunk of the eagle ford shale
And this makes me very happy
