shortly after this quote, an article comes out, where Ridgeway said the following...
and now they lose Monroe to...tulane

Kind of a weird switch. Tulane must be offering him a chance at QB.
that's conference usa recruiting for you!
if you look at it from a coaching angle, makes perfect sense.
Tulane's new coach is from New Orleans and was the WRs coach of the Saints until the season ended. Not sure what kind of offense he is installing. Apparently he's already received quite a few commitments from the New Orleans area since he started 2 weeks ago.
ive always been surprised that tulane hasnt had more of a presence because of its location. the hire might give tulane the full support of the NO area (instead of LSU), so who knows what might happen.
lol blue chip. I'm not too worried about this guy and I don't think Sumlin is either. Monroe was on record saying he was a upset that it took Sumlin 4 weeks to contact him after getting the job, when Sumlin immediately contacted Matt Davis, Trey Williams and Bralon Addison within 3 days of being hired. Not sure he wanted the kid at all tbh.
Now Losing Corey Thompson to LSU and possibly Bralon Addison to Oregon are definitely a blow to this class.
We haven't played an SEC game yet and aren't officially members until July 1st.
and lol roadrunners. don't you have your own forum?
lol thread full of t-shirt fans.
and I must have forgot that UTSA was tearing up the recruiting trail!
So you won't have the SEC EdgeŽ until then?
Last I checked, UTSA is technically a college and -- we aspire to one day possess the![]()
We'll have to wait and see. It's true we lost Monroe and Thompson. We've also added quite a few guys since announcing the move.
You wouldn't know this so just run along if you don't pay attention to recruiting.
Well, of course A&M would add players -- they would do that no matter what conference they were in.
I sense the passage of time, so I know players get added every year. This thread got my attention because you and the other Aggies were bragging about how the SEC EdgeŽ was going to be an instant and obvious boon to A&M recruiting. You wouldn't know this so just run along if you don't pay attention to recruiting.
Sorry U mad.
"Rude" isn't the word to describe the awakening Sumlin is going to see.
Poor guy, wont last 3 years
UT class of '12 here

Aggie seems to be lacking in the sales pitch dept. According to Santos' mom the crew that recruited her son couldn't get a homeless man to accept a stack of hundred dollar bills.
In the end I think at the least it's going to take two years for them to have some success in the sec. These kids don't want to waste their career by getting their ass beat in every week. If the start winning things will change, but the couldn't win in the big 12 so I don't see things changing over there.
Where did Thomas Johnson and DeVante Harris end up? I remember TJ dropped his commit from Texas and Harris dropping OU. Haven't heard where they faxed their LOI's.
TIA
