TBH, looking at the guys on that list it's a combination of things. Part of it is the style of play for all those guys. Whether they were guys that could have designed runs for them (Vick, Young) or guys who were slippery/tough to bring down/bought time with their feet that style will get you hit a lot. Look at Romo and Rothlesberger. Same sort of things said about them, same injury riddled last few years. (Honorable mention to the Eagles ty O-line for Vick and McNabb. I can't remember the last time they could get anything done on 3rd and short. If you're runnign for your life half the time you're gonna get hurt evetually.)
But the big unifying factor IMO is the overall athletic prowess of your average NFL defender in this era. Montana and Elway took plenty of hits in their era dancing around the pocket or flat out scrambling. Steve Young and Packers-era Favre did plenty of that too. Young admittedly started racking up a lot of concussions towards the end but still. And none of those guys had the sort of hit absorbing bulk of a McNabb.
Also, it's a passing (and therefore blitzing) league now. Guys are dropping back more than ever, DC's are more aggressive than ever. So QB's are more likely to get hit and the guys doing the hitting are coming in with more force than ever. Look at how long your average feature RBs are faring in this same era.

On the real though, why do you guys feel the need to make racial slurs all the time? We respond to you guys in a respectable manner, even in the face of racism, but you guys are always quick to fling out racial slurs in unprovoked situations. Why yall do that?

One thing I'll never understand with the black population is their need to defend anything black whatsoever. I hate s, whites, Mexicans, and blacks so when a race sucks complete at pro football, I'll acknowledge it tbh.
I can't speak for others, but if you didn't crowbar your "black pride" angle into every post, then I wouldn't feel the need to drop race bombs.
Take arguments where you side with the black guy (Luck vs Griffin) for no other reason than your racial obligation--and it makes you an easy target for criticism because your agenda is so transparent.
