Probably hacking, but some people play it like a religion.
I don't know about ps3, but on the pc there's maps that are 24 hour operation metro with 1000 tickets. you can just plop a motion sensor down... find a dead body, switch classes, and keep dropping med packs/ ammo packs for a ton of points. there is always choke points in OM and the points will flow.

banned from my first server today because they were suspecting i was using a hack.
I had like 8 pretty good heli take downs from my tank ... about 3 or 4 of which were really lucky. We were on Firestorm and I was just leaving US spawn in tank when I fired a random s above a heli icon. Didn't think anything of it until it popped up I got 2 kills. Probably about 3/4 of the distance of the map away.
The last kill i got that sealed the deal was near the construction site i was RU heading just below that big ass mountain and the chopper was using the small hill as cover to go up and down. I fired a round just above the hill and he climbed right into it.
I play on a pretty compe ive BF3 server, and I see guys who are rank 45 x40+. Insanity.
Also, if you grind on Metro maps, you can go up ranks like crazy. I average about 7000 points per 64 player op metro map, and I hit over 10k pretty regularly, although that's obviously tick dependent.
Thats pretty nuts. I'm 39 right now and I've had it since launch. Granted, I sucked ass when I first got it but I'm pretty good now. Not great, but I've gotten FAR better.
Pet peeve is that on PS3 not enough people "spot". I spam select in order to spot but it seems rare to have anyone else doing it.
Also, I've grown to love the m249 but lately the lack of power is really annoying me.
Is the F2000 any good? I want to unlock it because it looks like something fisher price would make.
Its typically my go to AR. I have that and the M16A3 fully unlocked. I sometimes use a few others for long range shooting.
the FAMAS is easily the most overpowered gun in the game that you can get in 2 seconds.
every other time i get shot, its by some noob lowbie with a FAMAS.
Agreed, FAMAS is OP for now. Nerf has to be incoming.
Really? I tried to use it but the iron sight takes up half the screen
once you get a scope it's lights out
Finally finished the campaign. Yeah, not that good.
Tried Famas today for the first time. I'm using that as my main AR now. Holy crap its OP.
seriously it has a rate of fire equal to a submachine gun and a sniper rifle range. its more powerful than the gun you unlock after it in assignments. WTF.
meh... famas was ok... once i service starred it i stopped using it.
I only do 64 player servers so i need better ammo conservation and it fires so fast it's pretty much 1 clip = 1 kill unless you have a nice group together. 1 on 1 it's a beast but most of my engagement are mid range.
although i believe dice did say it was OP because with a suppressor and foregrip attached it pretty much took away all the intended negatives about the gun (extremely fast ROF, and spread).
I tried the combo out and it was pretty nice... but it just wasn't for me.
also, imo, the pp 2000 needs either a ROF or damage buff. Complete garbage if you ask me. my skill level went in the gutter while i was using that... although it's probably my fault for using it on bigger maps like firestorm and caspian.
Almost got banned from this server too until I said I'd stop using the tank.
lol i went 30-2 at caspian border yesterday with the frogfoot. just bought the game on christmas and already have my fifth flying star.
good times and lots of blown up tanks. i even mastered strafing infantryhunting snipers and rpg snipers is the best.
only problem is if i get in a dogfight with a decent pilot i end up literally flying around in circles with him the entire match...i did max out the sensitivity on my controls and that helped out a ton. not a fan of prolonged dogfights though. they arent my strong point.
i also started using guided missiles so i can spam mark targets with the camera and then use the machine gun to finish them off. its great for finding targets.
oh and runway campers. those guys are pussies.

its bs that you must have a hdd to download the HD dlc...
i had to buy an older xbox style 20g hdd with a xfer cable to do so...ran me out about 60 bucks.
anyone know if ill be able to use the hard drive to store data via the transfer cable or is it only for transferring already downloaded data?

Can anyone give me tips on how to fly the Jets? Whenever I try to shoot a tank or person in it I just crash straight into the ground or instantly get demolished by another Jet.
practice. dont use heat seekers at all and just use your machine gun. if you're on the tail of another jet, make sure to lead it like you are duck hunting. (that took me forever to figure out...when i did i was like oh duh...)
it's really difficult at first because the other jets have air radar, so don't give up until you get it yourself.
as far as knocking tanks out, it really depends on what type of jet youre flying.
my favorite by far is the frogfoot/a10 (on rush) because the machine gun is OP. i use laser guided missiles to spot targets on the ground and then rip them up with the gun. that way ill sometimes get 30+ kills in one round.
fighter jets (on conquest) are a different story. the machine gun is weak as so its really only good for other jets. ill use the rocket pods on ground targets and helis, then finish off with the gun. make sure to use your throttle after you break into a turn for the sharpest turn possible.
flares are really the only reasonable secondary to have because of the amount of rockets youll have shot at you. extinguisher works fine as well but sometimes it wont even kick in, and youll be busy dodging rockets all day instead of killing targets.
the hud on your screen may jump around but your real crosshairs are the stationary ones in the middle of the screen that do not move.
a really good tip is to max out your sensitivity controls in options that way your jet will turn on a dime.
if you play online with ppl you know its always nice to have friends helping you out with spotting targets, soflam'ing or getting into the other jet.

On PC you get some really sick pilots using a joystick and throttle. I stay out of the air as much as possible because I know there are better pilots on the team and Im more of an infantry/tanker anyway.
