this is such bull for the exact reason someone posted in the other thread
Condit shouldn't have even had to fight this disrespectful ghetto trash in the first place. Condit was just being nice by stepping aside so the UFC could get their grudge match and then they HAD to fight do to GSP needing too much time. But that obligation is ing over with now
I ing knew this as soon as I watched the press conference
This is bull and not only for condit but Sanchez/Ellenberger and Hendricks
I hope it will be like Shogun vs Machida the second fight
And this time Condit will finish Diaz. Hard task because I think Nick will try to take this fight to the ground quicker.
Instant rematches are getting out of hand. If they want GSP vs Diaz so bad they should just book it. Nothing from the first fight showed me Diaz is going to beat Condit. Everyone complained about the first fight, and I don't see a second one going much different unless Condit just knocks Diaz out this time.
One has to have sympathy for Condit. There's no reason they couldn't set up a non- le fight between GSP and Diaz after GSP's fight with Condit. This is just Dana White throwing a tantrum because the "wrong" guy won.
Gods, this is annoying. If we're lucky we'll get a DRAW, then we can have Edgar/Maynard nightmare all over again! Hooray for putting a division on hold for no ing reason!
You know the UFC is not that different than boxing in that the fighters want to fight the guys that will make them the most money. Difference is the UFC is a company that obviously wants the biggest fights, so it's not just up to the individual. There are other contenders at WW that should get the fight but what will make Condit and the UFC the most $$ right now
Diaz/Condit 2..
Now they are saying it's off and the rumor is Diaz pissed dirty
Weed again..![]()
Oh yes, there IS a Heavenly Father!
diaz, white, Conduit won by being a better fighter. I want to see GSP v Conduit first
It's Condit guys.. and yeah I hope this rematch doesn't happen...
From galsguidetomma:
UPDATE: Supposedly Nick cannot compete and Condit will be in on Friday to complete the GSP deal.
From bloodyelbow:
It now appears, from reports coming from a variety of different directions, that the rematch will not happen due to an "issue" in the Diaz camp. No one has yet been quite willing to say what the "issue" is, but I've heard it from enough people that it does seem there is something that is keeping the Diaz camp from being able to accept the fight.
And mmajunkie:
When contacted today by MMAjunkie.com, Diaz manager Cesar Gracie said "no" when asked if a rematch recently announced is a reality. He declined further comment.
Perhaps there is a just God.
The more I think about it, it was stupid of Dana to try and throw Diaz at GSP without Nick proving himself against a wrestler. His aggressive always forward strategy would lead to him being steamrolled by GSP's double leg takedowns. Though the Diaz-Penn and Diaz-Condit fights were interesting on paper, they did not prove that he has improved against wrestlers. He should have been matched up with Hendricks or Fitch before getting a crack at the gold. I know they are just looking for the big money matches, but it is still a sport. If they wish to keep calling it one the UFC is going to have to make a little more effort with its match making.
No need for this thread
