Tell me what it is and I'll make it and we can split the money. Do it in a PM please.
I have a good idea for an app, but I don't know where to start. Any one know where I can learn how to make one?
Tell me what it is and I'll make it and we can split the money. Do it in a PM please.
We can do this the easy way or I can do it the hard way. Either way, you are not getting my money.
Ok. Just tell me the app, I'll make it and send you the $.
Atheists know how to make apps.
Just sayin'.
So you asked SpursTalk to Google "how to make an app"?
Ingenious.
You have to sift through a lot of trash via Google search. I only had to sift through one piece of trash by doing it this way.
Fair enough.
If you're not a good programmer, doing these three video courses in sequence could be really useful:
1. A pretty gentle introduction that still has some interesting problems in it

2. One of these two courses based on the best CS book ever written (IMO). I like the Berkeley one better, but the MIT one is delivered by the authors and is also excellent. The textbook is also freely available online from MIT Press.

The first one could be a pain in the ass to do if you're using Windows though, as you'd need to setup cygwin to use the STK interpreter.
3. Intro Java/Data Structures/Algorithms

Berkeley, MIT, and Stanford have tons of great CS resources online. Berkeley especially, though they don't make it easy to find assignments like MIT and Stanford do. I don't like Stanford's sequence as much though, since I think they start in Java and then progress to the evil language C++ in the second course.
This seems too smart for the Club thread. Maybe move to Politics.
whatever ur thinkin of....its already patented...
The idea that I have has not been patented. I've talked to many people, about 40, and about half of them said they would buy it.
bring the JOptionPain, young wookiee
sounds promising. you could end up making $20.
imo patent it, and goto china/india hire some clown to make it...
