Success can spoil a fan base and then they start to feel en led. All of Boston's teams have won championships in the past decade. It's hard to win championships. It's hard to have sustained success. Pistons fans had been ing and moaning from 2006-2008 about not getting passed the conference finals. The last three seasons for Detroit prove sometimes it's not greener on the other side.
Whether they choke a game or a season here and there, being in a position where choking actually matters is a position plenty of other teams and fan bases would like to be in.

This loss withstanding, the Celtics have won quite a few games lately. Haven't been crowing in those either. ('Cept for the Magic loss, but that was so embarassing for Orlando I had to grandstand.)
And for the record, it wasn't friends, just family. The wife's on this new, "Our kid is two, he needs to learn to go to sleep without us being in his room" kick. It's turning into a "LnGrrrR needs to learn how to work without any sleep" kick instead.
