Let the assumptions begin....
Hey guys
RC Buford is at the Iona v Marist game and seated a few seats away from me scouting. Its obvious who he is scouting. Point guard Scott Machado and forward Mike Glover. I talked with him for a minute prior to tip and told him I am a lifelong Spurs fan. I write freelance up here and cover college basketball; the mid majors.
RC seems nice but he wouldnt comment on who he is here scouting but its obvious. Dell Demps also here and James Anderson.
Let the assumptions begin....
Not an assumption because they are the only two players on the court who may have a chance to make the NBA. Talked w Anderson after the game; he said he is trying his darndest to get back in playing rotation. He was waiting for Machado after the game.
Cant say for sure if Spurs are interested in Machado or Glover but Buford has seen them play now. Dont know if it means anything or not.
Good stuff from James. He can still get another shot at the playing rotation if he stays ready and really wants it. He's just gotta stay ready and make the most of any opportunity that he gets.
cool... so what exactly did you ask Anderson?
I told him Ive been a fan of his game since OkSt and asked him abt how tough has it been not playing. He said its hard but Spurs have good wing players and when its your time to step up you have too. He said he is pushing his best to get minutes again. Also he wouldnt comment on Machado. Anderson is nice and soft spoken.

TimVp good to be back on this site! Ive been lurking but not posting here. I enjoy covering the college game in my spare time. I just cover mid majors. I dont know what is connection between JA and Machado. Ill ask Machado abt it when I see him at the MAAC tourney. Machado is a NYC kid and far as I know JA has no NYC connection. JA was w another guy, a short kind of stout guy w glasses.
You should've ask what was it like to get met at the rim by Chris Humpris an he had a running head start!?! He looks like he tries to hard whenever he gets into the game, instead of just letting the game come to him. He makes nice aggressive moves to the rim hut can't finish.
What is James Anderson doing there with RC and Dell? Is James meeting Dell in person before a trade?

on a serious note I'd try to trade for Gustavo Ayon. Damn shame we couldn't pick him up.
