After looking at these numbers I'm actually going to take exception with BR calling Kobe a 'glorified Tracy McGrady'...
This season, TMac. Seriously. Check the stats!
Kobe, but T-Mac has better shot selection right now. Kobe just keeps shooting, doesn't matter if he's bricking, just keeps shooting.
pass1st, we just laughing at Deuce, don't mind us.
tbqh, I was shocked when I saw that 20% 3 point land percentage... I really didn't expect it to be that bad![]()
Yeah, I figured this was some shot at one of the more zealous fans, but I thought I would spin the thread around with a logical 2 cents.
For this season, I would have to say McGrady, just for the fact that he didn't injure his wrist from playing with himself, due to his wife divorcing him.
Tbh I'm just happy Kobe can still hoist it up 25+ times a game.....TOSB Duncan can't lift his hands 25 times a game anymore tbh.
You didn't watch the playoffs?
It's sad that it's come to this. No wife, no house, no legs, no jumper, and all losing half his and being compared to TMac. I knew the end would come, but I never thought it would be this ugly.
Danny Green is probably better than both right now.
Right on. He's 10th in PER right now while Kobe "Chuck" Bryant is sitting at 15th.![]()
I know I'm going to sound like a hater here, but Tmac tbqh is the better player right now.
Sure, Kobe is the better scorer but in terms of everything else including intangibles, Tmac is just flat out much more effective, useful and valuable.
Tmac has been pretty good involving his teammates and making sure the offense runs smoothly. Their record is not a fluke, as long as they are healthy, I can see them finishing 3rd overall in the East.
If Kobe just puts his ego aside and plays like TMAC, the Lakers would be an unstoppable team.
With the middle of the season approaching fast, I figured an update was in order:
Tracy:
FG: 47%
3P: 58%
Kobe:
FG: 44%
3P: 30%
tbqh, quite impressive TMac has been able to keep up with that 3 point shooting %...

He's taken 12 three pointers on the season, 7-for-12.
5-for-6 on the day you started this thread. 2-for-6 since.
OP is such a re
2P% is % on just 2s, not your FG% (unless you have taken 0 3s)
Jam with the serious response to back Kobe![]()
