    Jeremy Lin's Chinese name is Lin(family name), Su How(given name)

    In Chinese, Lin means wood, Su means book and How means heroic spirit.

    Wanggi is Wang(family name). Wang means King.

    American born Chinese(Taiwanese) descent, use to have English names as Robert Wang, Michael Chen or Susan Chang...etc. It's Americanization.

    Some of American come to Taiwan, they have been given Chinese names as well.

    Lin Su How is translated term of Lin's Chinese name.
