I appreciate you guys keeping the scores and time coming. It's frustrating to not have TV coverage and not know the scores. Thanks again.

bonner is fine as long you dont have high expectations from him...

blair, corey and JA needs to be traded....

looks like we got a solid 8 man rotation
Bonner is fine in the regular season but a disaster in the playoffs. We need a stretch 4 who doesn't choke in the playoffs.

You must have missed the Mavericks when Don Nelson was the coach. They'd foul in the last ten seconds down 12 points.
Oh man, that brings back memories. The final 10 minutes of a game last longer than the first 38 in the NBA.

reserve me a pew in the church of splitter when he creates his own shot
Like the 35+% of his offense that he "creates on his own" while posting up?
lol the vast majority of his points are the result of good passes and him finishing. not taking the pass, posting up, making a move and making a basket
I actually just told your illiterate ass what percentage of his offense was created from posting up.

    13% from offensive rebounds
36% from posting up -------> creating his own shot
I'll reserve your obese ass a "pew" in the church of Splitter.

Splitter played the most of any big man.

    Go figure.
    Was it something you expected?

come on ruff... I'll trade him for quite cheap.. Lin doesn't need a left hand
I've got 5 PGs, don't need him. I'd maybe give you Jason Thompson. Who do you want for him?

One of those things that generally don't get appreciated - Manu was awesome getting around screens tonight. I noticed it and started watching, and it was just a beautiful thing. My late Christmas wish is that he could teach Green to do that. It would make Green a much better player, and help the team a lot too.

I don't care if Manu isn't back to 100%, or if his shot isn't all the way there yet, or anything else. The guy is so damned court-savvy, he's always contributing. I would have to check the numbers, but I think he was the only one to do a good job of containing Derozan.

i'll take any b2b road wins but this defense is crumbling
i blame the perimeter players in green, parker, kl who gives there man to much spacing and always chasing under the screen where they are always late

That you want to get rid of him so badly means you don't believe his run will continue either, but if the deal is right I might give it a go.

Oh my god we need to get rid of Blair he needs to go in order for us to have any chance of getting another ring. We need to find a true PF to replace Blair and why is Cory/Smiley still even on this team he needs to go back to the D-League.

    Hes not coming back.

Besides, he probably wouldn't understand that even when Splitter gets assisted on the pick and roll, hes slick enough to make something happen and produce. The way he gets open and the way he gets into a favorable position is the reason why hes special.

If what he did was really so easy we'd see more players do this:

So I asked myself: "Self, how many bigmen in the NBA are as well rounded as Tiago Splitter?"

Per 36 minutes, Splitter is averaging 16.2 points, 9.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.4 blocks and 5.0 free throw attempts. I use basketball-reference.com to search for players who are averaging 16 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block and 5 free throw attempts per 36 minutes this season.

I'm surprised when only two players in the NBA match that criteria.
    Tiago Splitter is obviously one.
    The other?
    Tim Duncan.

i knew we be in it for the long run when blairs first 2 offensive plays...he fkn bricked the or never had any intentions of passing it out....fck that , we were so lucky green and RJ were nailing shots in the first quarter

I think Duncan and Splitter may be too of the most intelligent big men. I'll take bigmen with high basketball iq over ones that are ultra-athletic but have low bbiq.

He's really good at finding open space, and he's a big target for ball handlers out of the PnR. His post-up game is currently the single highest contributor to his overall offensive game. So he can generate offense even when other players aren't creating for him in the PnR or with penetration.

Someone tonight was complaining that Splitter doesn't get his hands high enough when he shoots, or something ridiculous like that. Splitter is so good about protecting the ball with his body and the rim, selling his moves, etc. that he makes it look easy. Yeah he takes most of his shots around the rim, but he's shooting 62% and most other bigs in the league would be shooting 50% (or less) with the same opportunities.

He's not bringing a lot of thunderous dunks, but he gets himself a lot of easy-looking shots. He's actually padding some other players' assist stats at times.

Lin has absolutely no left hand, and I can't believe the NBA hasn't worked it out yet.

Love the guy, but I don't think he'll keep the 25/10 games coming. Maybe 12/8 when Melo returns - still nice numbers.
He doesn't need to score 25, and he doesn't need to score with his left. He's a distributor point guard who makes plays for his teammates and is capable of scoring when needed. He'll be a great compliment to Anthony.

BTW, how do you know that he has no left hand? Is it because you have yet to see him use his left hand, or because he often misses with his left? Did you mean he can't shoot with his left, or dribble, or both? I think his ball handling is good enough to set up a right-hand shot even when a left might be more appropriate.

...if the team gives him the ball. In the 4th Q tonight he scored twice in three plays, then other players settled for 4 straight long jumpers!? Feed the Splitter you morons!
