just saw The Prestige and holy is that a great movie! If The Dark Knight Rises turns out to be anywhere near as good as The Dark Knight then I would switch my pick to Nolan cause so far he hasn't made a dud. There's no doubt he's THE director/writer of this century

I am a Nolan fanboy, but I like all of these directors a lot.

    Nolan > Fincher > Coens

Inception and Dark Knight are at the top of the list of all those movies. I would go with Nolan.

I tried putting another choice for "waiting for Dark Knight Rises" but I couldn't think of a way to make that statement less than 25 characters. That's what I would've chosen

Fincher is solid, Coens are hit-or-miss, Nolan is the most overrated hack I am aware of

Pretty tough to pick, all are some of my favorite directors. Right now I'd have to go with Fincher.

I liked the first Burton Batman as much as any of the Nolan ones. I was 12 when it came out, but i was still a pretty damn cool movie. The second was a bit overwrought though.

I still can't figure out why America jacks off to the dark night. That movie licked taint, and if you watched that and enjoyed that stupid husky voice Bale kept using, chances are your taste in movies suck. For that reason alone you can't pick Nolan. Give me Coen brothers

Nolan thinks he has to make his movies 3 1/2 hours long to be good . Coen bros'll get you INnOUT in 1.5-2 hours and be the better movie.

Fincher all I have seen is fight club and 7 and they are good. Fight club really good

I liked it when I was young, too, but I think people have nostalgia goggles on when they talk about it. It's a good movie, but that's it. Burton got the look of Gotham down, but the characters are a different matter.

at Nolan taking Burton's "dark Batman" idea.
thinking that Burton came up with the "dark Batman shtick" in the first place
not realizing that both Nolan movies are influenced more by comics like Year One, The Dark Knight Returns, The Long Halloween, etc. more than they are by Burton's movies
attention span is so short that you can't enjoy a two-and-half hour movie

Damn, the Mookie Krew does have ty taste.
