Pop says in postgame presser answer for losing Splitter probably ends up being more small ball.

True true, but I hope the Spurs will try to grab someone else to fill the 4th big spot, as oppose to relying on Blair/Bonner to get them through.
Pop was addressing that he couldn't run Tim 40 mpg, so that yeah, they'd have to play small.
But I know they'll look for another big if Splitter is out for any time at all.
Watch him send Duncan to the bench so he can start Bonner and Blair.![]()
does that mean his going to play more of KL, who always seem to do good in the first half in limited minutes, only to be bench for the whole 3rd quarters for every single game this season? fck pop
he probably play more of blair and rj just to get them going, when they are
b2b coming
Yesterday, Michael Finley was in LA to work out for the Clippers. It's likely that he is still there and he is available. Just saying...![]()
I'm sure it'll be an undersized four, who's sub par athletically. Because that's exactly what they need.
As long as the Spurs can stay out of overtime games, they won't have to worry about so many minutes. With Tiago going down and Blair not contributing much, this would have been a 35 min. outing for Timmy, but OT added 5.
Some poor execution late in regulation with the Parker and Neal TOs (+ that Nunez call) could have averted the near loss and extra minutes. Fortunately, the Clips messed up too.
Yea its a shame they don't pick up one of the many athletic 7 footers out there, who can defend. Those guys are just waiting for a phone call from Pop.![]()
KL at the 4 works, he did well against griffin with the reach ins looking to pick pockets...
he even took his man off the dribble a couple of times, yet he should finished those type of plays....most of the guys defending KL are fkn as a whole
Nunez loves SA. Didn't you know that?
Probably the best thing for Leonard, tbh. He's a power forward in a small forward's body. He can rebound well and has a quickness mismatch against PFs that he doesn't have against opposing SFs.
I'd play Bonner with Tim and Leonard with Blair, so we've got one guy who can get defensive boards in each lineup. Please, for the love of god, no Blair-Bonner.
Michael Finley is in town?! Thats just what we need, a power forward with experience in our system!

that's exactly what Finley played for the Spurs with sb.
Bring over Ryan Richards!
If he can run the court, dunk the ball, and keep his hands up in the air it will be better than Blair's D
Are there any bigs on the Toros that are worth looking at? Malcolm Thomas again?
Small ball w/Kawhi >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Bonner/Blair in every possible scenario.
Losing Tiago for an extended period of time is every bit as bad as losing Timmy.
more small ball, means JA and COREY better take the opportunities they get or else more heating up that bench
