Yeah everyone is behind that boy at this point, no denying that.
I responded to something you specifically wrote in the OP.
If the call was made and the Mavs somehow won, the " story" would still have been in full force because he still had a good performance.
I'm sorry you're upset about the game. It's just one game.
Yeah everyone is behind that boy at this point, no denying that.
Looked to me like he tried to jump to the side to draw contact but I only saw the play once.
I didn't think Amare fouled Dirk at the end right by the rim. What did you think about that call?
Even the ABC guys, especially Hubie. When Lin would do something stupid there'd dead air for a number of seconds. And then when they'd start talking again it was like somebody died, or, lost money, but, then he'd pass for a 3, or hit one himself and Hubie was alive again, backslapping each other like when a baby is born.
America
And so far he's backing up a lot of the hype with performances like today.
Dallas is a good defensive team. They tried a bunch of different players and schemes against him. He still dropped 28/14 on them in a win. He's getting a little too much hype. But it's not like it's totally unwarranted.
I just can't wait for reality to set in for some of you guys.
You mean for the Knicks and Jeremy Lin?
You know if Lin was doing this in S.A., maybe a side article about him would pop up, but that's it. He's just doing it at the right time, right place, right opportunity. And in NYC.
& then JR showing up there like out of the blue, when he was all but penciled in with the Clippers, 4,000 miles to the West. Shows up in shape like he was never gone from the NBA. It's like a gd Twilight Zone episode.
Then Costner shows up there with that hot girl and I jumped the shark (Katie-girl).
It's just annoying because it was obvious he was the real deal after a few games. It's time for the media to just accept he's a great player instead of going berserk every time he does something good
If the Spurs were 8 games under .500 and had point guard problems and Lin came in as a last resort to average 25/9 on 50% and the Spurs went on to win 7 of the next 8 games with him as the starting PG, there would only be a side article about him?
I mean him being Asian and playing for the Knicks does add more hype, no question about it. But if this happened anywhere, it would still be a national sports story.
, I should just be grateful he ain't in San Antonio. Can ya imagine it?
"And Kevin Costner takes a seat" I'm like did he just say Kevin Costner? Then they show him and the girl he brought and I was like oh okay, Kevin, okay.
Don't disagree that the media hype needs to cool off. But that's not what some argue on here. Some are suggesting he's not that good at all and is a fluke.
Oh, yeah, following behind him dutifully, holding hands in that special way. Christ, I about went out of my mind on the Lazy Boy.
TBH, I'm glad he didn't go to LA and rescue Kobe. Then he couldn't be one of my new favorite players.
tbh the hype would be just as big if an undrafted injun or half injun out of harvard turned the knicks around
too bad injuns are too re ed to get into harvard and cant ball for though
