So, I wonder if Leonard the Leopard can change his spots and give em from the PF position.

It just sucks because the Spurs put themselves in this situation by the front office doing an inadequate job to prepare or address needs. Having said that, the team did their work by going 6-0 to start the road trip so they can lose a few and still be ok although they don't really have much breathing room on Dallas.

The Spurs should be fine. I think it's great news that it's only 2 weeks for both Manu and Splitter. Both should be back by March 4th against the Nuggets. So that leaves the Spurs with games against Utah, Portland, Denver, Chicago, and Charlotte without Manu and Splitter. Not TOO bad, could be worse. I'll be happy going 2-3 over the next 5......

The Blair-Bonner combo should be worse than ever, because now they're not only a defensive liability, but they're also a rebounding one, due to Blair going from being an elite rebounder to a mediocre one.

What they've got to do and I suspect they will do is, pick certain games that they're going to go all out for and concede others relatively early if it doesn't look good. Without Splitter, they don't have enough on either end to be compe ive every game, particularly during this difficult stretch. The worst thing they could do is attempt to have their cake and eat it too.

I'm going out on a limb here, and risk looking stupid. I think Blair will step it up on the boards.

I'll look stupid with you. I think Blair will come up big as well. We will win the two home games and win tonight.

As has been earlier indicated, the Spurs are better prepared to mitigate Manu's absence than they are Splitter's.

After Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Manu Ginobili would miss two weeks due to his strained oblique, coach Gregg Popovich said that he would be out "several weeks" during Monday's pregame media availability. Perhaps this is semantics and the two week timetable is still in play, but we're not going to bank on it after this report.

Who was readily available (that made sense at the time) that would have made things look much more rosy now?

Spurs have weathered injuries with their depth as well as anybody this year.
