    In a 66 game season?

The Spurs would have to go 32-7 to hit 50 wins. That's not happening.

As much as I would like it to happen - there is no chance at all.

    tbh

the remaining games of our schedule look pretty winnable.

As as along as we can maintain the current #2 in the west, I would give the team A+ for the regular season.

Plus, suppose we can go that far to meet the Thunder, depending on whether we can contain their athleticism or not, we can either beat Thunder or not no matter who has the home-court advantage.

On one hand, the young and talented Thunder are good at getting fouls home or away since they are so good at driving and penetration. On the other hand, they haven't suffered enough to know how to manipulate the refs, crowds and thus the opponents.

Instead, the veteran-savvy teams like Mavs and Lakers know how to make full use of the home-court advantage, especially when they are not in good rhythm either. Those grind-out games.

As last year showed the regular season does not matter. What matters is how well you are playing getting to the playoffs.

    a) no it's not going to happen
    b) no one on the Spurs cares about regular season records, or going all out to get a higher seed in the playoffs, so neither should you. Literally no one remembers how well you did in the regular season (assuming you're not a lottery team).

I'm only concerned with a strong finish and a healthy squad, ready for the playoffs.

    This.

There is no sense in getting beat up in the regular season. They should pace themselves accordingly, and start turning it up later in the season. I also think Pop will sacrifice some games in order to get TD, Parker, and eventually Manu some rest.

IDK Spurs went 24-5 or 25-4 in the last strike shortened season and this team has more depth. But seriously to think back on the Spurs run after starting off 9-10 tells you what an amazing year they had.

Irrelevant. Health and the team coming together defensively by playoffs is all that's important to me.

Nope. But they can keep 50W pace. Can be better than 40-26.
