The onscreen keyboard Samsung built into the Note, to allow for input with its "S-Pen" stylus, is excruciating for thumb typists. Its errant autocorrect changed "tweets" to "sweets" but left a standalone "i" uncapitalized, but refused to butt out when I was trying to delete its mistakes. You don't type on this thing so much as you duel with it. By default, it vibrates with every keypress, as if we haven't already been using touchscreen phones for the last five years.
I imagine this could be remedied with Swype, Swiftkey, or something similar?

    Leemajors

Off-topic here, but have jailbroken your iPhone after the iOS 5 update ?

    (TBH I haven't)

    If yes, why?

    Lockescreen/theme customization?
    SBsettings?
    Apptrackr ?

I have not, I don't really want to take the time to mess with it very much. Too busy playing Scramble with Friends and trying to keep my arcade Fruit Ninja score above my daughter's.

yeah, just change keyboards, there are literally at least a hundred of them (I would probably go with swiftkey instead of swype because of the size). Also, haptic feedback is default on every phone I have messed with. Also a quick fix.

I just wonder why Samsung insisted on something that sounds so annoying when there are better options available.

"hey, let's not put a lot of effort into this thing that 95% of the people are going to switch to swype anyway"

It's literally a 10 second task to disable predictive text and haptic feedback. Poor little fella. He needs to do something that's not so hard.

double click the home button, hold down an icon and then click the little red X to kill open apps. pretty simple.

Im aware of that. If I jail break my phone, doesn't that void the warranty? Im apprehensive to do that considering it's a company phone.

Technically, yes. But you can just restore it before you send or take it in and there will be no evidence of a jailbreak.

Less steps on an android. Plus I don't need no stinking buttons.
