Sweet! I really like his tape and hope to see him in burned orange! Actually, I think that his tape reminds alot of Reuben Fosters tape.
LB Deoundrei Davis was offered by A&M this morning (24/7). Both of his parents and little sister will be in Austin with him on Saturday.

A brief tidbit on DB Marcell Harris from Rivals:
While most believe that Florida is the top team for Orlando (Fla.) Dr. Phillips safety Marcell Harris, due to his father having played for the Gators and the school's proximity to home, sources indicate that the Texas Longhorns remain a serious contender for his services. Harris isn't likely to make a decision until after he visits a few more schools such as Notre Dame and Ohio State.
Foster is simply on a different level than everyone else in the country but he and Davs both have violent tendencies. Watch Davis' block on the punt return at 1:45.

Quotes from DE Torrodney Prevot before JD2:
"Sometime this past week, they called my coach and he told me to call them. I talked to coach (Oscar) Giles," Prevot said. "He was just saying I'm one of the best defensive ends in Texas, probably in the nation. He said they're probably going to offer at the junior day."
"Coming into this weekend, Texas is sitting pretty high on my list. I'm going to take a visit there and it's a place that will be a part of my decision," Prevot said. "But I'm not thinking about committing yet. I'm going to take my visits, then I'm going to see form there."
"I paid for the camp last summer but didn't attend. I basically donated to Texas," Prevot said with a laugh.
"I was really excited when they invited me," Prevot said. "I hadn't really heard from them in about a month or so. The last time I talked to them, coach Manny Diaz and Giles came to the school and said they'd keep evaluating me. So I was really excited about (the junior day invitation)."
Former five-star RB/LB James Wilder, Jr. of Florida State has been charged with two felonies:

Texas head coach Mack Brown about to deliver his spring presser at 1 pm CST, with a live stream at MB-TF.
Notes:
Greg Daniels will be a TE only.
Whaley will play both DT and DE in the spring due to Jeffcoats injury.
Moss moved to FB
Mack still not naming the #1 QB. Says we need 2 QBs.
Mack not getting in the hype of our Defense due to the loss of our leadership.
Surprisingly, Mack says we need to force more turnovers.
Big emphasis on the passing game this spring.
Will Russ will be the punter.
Ben Pruitt will work on kickoffs and field goals until Nick Jordan comes in.
Ash will work on punting.
Several of our coaches had head coach opportunities and some Pro jobs as well.
Goodwin, Evans, and Monroe will miss a practice or two due to track.
New kickoff rule: Kick off from the 35, touchbacks will have the ball placed at the 25.
New Ricky Williams statue!!!! Next to Earl's.
Poehlman will still work at TE, along with G and T.
MJ McFarland doing great, only improvement needed is blocking.
With Hawkins here, Hopkins will play Guard at least for today.
Mike Davis was discouraged in the fall, now doing great, working hard. (Good to hear).
We will wait for fall for the first Depth Chart.
Brown, Bergeron, and Shipley are good to go.
There is potential for Onyegbule to grow into a TE.

Excited about this. Should be unveiled the day of the spring game.
"Stuff Longhorns Say!" Pretty good.

Mack became pretty serious in the end and told everyone to shut off the cameras. Heard him start talking about injuries before the feed went out. I guess he didn't like how the press handled injuries last year.
Thanks for the cliffnotes ThePop.
Interesting stuff. I honestly didn't even know a new kickoff/touchback rule was in discussion, let alone passed.
Thanks Pop!
The way Texas is tooling up, if we don't win at least one championship and three total bcs games over the next ten years, we are with out a doubt the biggest farce of a program in the country
Article on Darius James getting UA invite -
http://www.kdhpressbox.com/index.php...rticle&id=5887
James — a four-star recruit, who holds 15 Division I offers after receiving one from Florida early Wednesday — isn't close to making a bigger decision any time soon but listed Alabama, Florida, LSU, Oklahoma and Texas among his Top 5, in no particular order. James is scheduled to attend Junior Days at Oklahoma on March 3 and at LSU on March 17.
No problem. I saw someone post my notes on OB, made me feel like Tfloss![]()
Texas offers OOS DB Vonn Bell from Georgia:
http://recruitocosm.fantake.com/2012...medium=twitter
Vonn Bell is an elite player that has flown under the radar because he hasn't gone to any camps or events. Expect him to blow up on Rivals and other sites once people go out and watch him. He has offers from everybody in the SEC including 'Bama, Arky, Tenn, etc and they are all strictly based on watching him on film.
Bell can ball out. Colbert Good film.

Pics from the first day of spring practice. Nice to see some of these new guys in burnt orange for the first time. Just an FYI that Searels had the OL lined up like this today:
LT Hawkins
LG Hopkins
C Espinosa
RG Walters
RT Cochran

I guess there's no way we can talk Brewer out of wearing #7??? Too many bad memories. On the other hand, all the retailers might be able to put all those unsold #7 jerseys back on the rack!!
My bold prediction for the 2013 season, Hawkins gets all conference.
