LA's signing of Wallace may be to use him against Dirk imo. He's always been a great post defender and shut down Dwight in '10 ECF.

He couldn't in his prime, he is too flat-footed, i.e he doesn't have great hip movement which one thing a big man needs to have to defend Dirk. Haslem for example does.
They never played much, but I always felt in his prime Ben Wallace actually was a much better defender on Dirk. Gave him a lot of fits in that 05-07 period.
1. You can't defend Dirk
2. You can't defend a 7' jump shooter.
allowing him to score 20-25 should be good enough D on him tbh, no one can ever completely shut him down imho
