Right now I'd have to say Rondo, but Lowry has loads of potential. I could see him being a top PG in the league in two or three years.
Lowry
Rondo
Having this debate with a few of my pals (Ie Rox fans).
Personally, I think Rondo is a lot better as Lowry is a low 40% shooter, who has no midrange game, is average at running a half court offense, and is slow laterally.
Whereas Rondo's weaknesses are jump shooting and FTs.
What do you guys think, who is better, Lowry or Rondo?
Also, why?

I hear that from a lot of guys I know, but I just don't see it, his athleticism is not that great, he is not quick laterally, and while his jumper has improved (particularly his 3ball), he still gets most of his assists in early transition offense - I have yet to see him really run a team ala Nash, or Billups, or even Rubio....
I believe Kyle is exactly what he is, a 6 foot tall, fireplug of a compe or, an above average NBA point.
As a Rox fan, I hope you are right though...lol.

He's still young. Finding super-athletic PGs is tough as , but he can definitely fit the criteria. His ballhandling is good, although he turns the ball over more than he should. However, he seems to be getting better at it. His 3 point shot shouldn't be overlooked, as that makes him a legitimate threat, especially with him making it as consistently as he has this season. I've only really watched him a couple times this season, and most of those times came against the Spurs, but he seems to be a good team leader too. When the Rockets were down/taking their foot off the gas too early, he was there trying to keep it going. The problem with Rondo is he'll never be a leader on the Celtics behind Pierce, Allen, and KG. Lowry has already established himself on a young Rockets team, and getting recognition like that from teammates your age is no easy feat.
Lowry
I think Rondo is not going to better his game at this stage. Dude has been stuck in gears for years.
off the 7'6 jinx seems every rocket player (and former rockets as well) is playing good & showing their real talent & value tbh
Lowry no doubt in my mind
Rondo cant shoot and he rides the coat tails of his future hall of fame teammates
put him on a lower level team (Toronto, Cleveland, Charlotte) and the team doesnt make the playoffs.
Rondo rides the coattails of players that are well past their primes?..
Rose, Paul, and possibly DWill. After them theres not a PG in the league I would take over Rondo.
You crazy
Just look at how horrible the Celtics are without Rondo, even with their 3 "stars"..
That's really hard to do since he's clearly the best player on his team.
You could put prime Jordan against Lowry there and he'd still win.
Rondo. Better defender and playmaker. He is underrated because we are in the golden era of scoring point guards. Always been a big fan of his game.
Rondo, however Lowry means more to his team.
