If he's got skills, I don't care what color he is. Would have loved a young Warren Moon on the Cowboys. I'd take RGIII too, to be honest, once he's seasoned.

After watching Colt McCoy and his noodle arm the last two years, absolutely. I'd trade #4, #22 and any 2013 pick after the first round for the darkie.

Black, white, yellow- as long as it isn't spunky little Colt, I don't care.

Warren Moon was a BOSS. Black QBs should try to emulate him and not Cunningham.
Keep in mind Warren Moon didn't make his NFL debut until he was 28 and had played a bunch of years in Canada. IIRC he was a running QB early in his career in Edmonton or wherever he was playing up there.

Cunningham turned into a pocket passer later in his career too. I don't remember him scrambling very much when he was with the Vikings.

I get what you guys are saying about black quarterbacks but Christ, do you really have to split the ing atom to play the position? Everyone talks about how smart Colt McCoy is and he sucks balls.

Just give me ability, instincts and a willingness to learn and adjust and I'll roll with it.

No...has nothing to do with what school or state he's from...guess you don't watch many college football games, do you? The guy has the accuracy..has the right form...and can run.

And wtf does me liking RG3 have anything to do with politics? ...you really do have issues.

That's very unchristian to dislike Santorum.

Jesus would be ashamed of you.

Well, you need mental smarts AND mental toughness. Colt McCoy has the smarts, but like every other UT players, Mack Brown's coddling made him mentally soft. This shoulda been evident when he was in the locker room playing catch with his daddeh during what SHOULD have been the biggest game of his career.

1/46, JT. 1/46. No starting black qbs in the playoffs this year. One in 2010 (lost in WC game), one in 2009 (lost in WC game). They ing suck, and the fact that this guy is a Big 12 QB only exacerbates the problem.

No...has nothing to do with what school or state he's from...guess you don't watch many college football games, do you? The guy has the accuracy..has the right form...and can run.
Thanks, Mark May. Don't act like you have any special insight into this player or can offer up any opinion that hasn't been regurgitated by the mothership already.

Here's all you need to know:

-He's taken maybe 5 snaps under center his entire career
    -gimmicky, shotgun formation QB
-Played in the Big 12, where QBS have hyper-inflated stats and become garbage pro QBS.

Here's a stat you'll love: No Big 12 QB has ever won a playoff game as a starter. Kordell Stewart beat the Ravens back in 2001 back when it was still the Big 8 (props to Blake for that find), and that's the last one.

So let's recap: He's black, plays in a gimmicky offense, and his conference has done nothing but drop turds at the QB position.

But I'm sure he'll be different...

And I'm sure the conference's consistent failure has everything to do with him as a player and a compe or. Thank you for that ray of intelligence.

It sure as does when you run your entire career in the shotgun and play maybe 2 teams who try to play defense a year. Are you really that stupid?

"But he's got a fire inside and he's a compe or!" Yeah, so is everybody else

Sooo....with your ultimate knowledge and unmeasurable football intelligence, you can accurately pick who will and won't be good in the NFL before they even play a down...and insult people who don't have your incredible talents..God..we're so lucky to have the ability to be on the same forum with you...

When it comes to black QBs, it's an easy assumption to make. History supports my argument. Nothing supports your argument.

Btw, way to skirt the Big 12 point when it got thrown back in your face.

lol thinking the weak defensive conference you play in and gimmicky offense you run doesn't have an effect on your pro prospects.

Never said it hasn't in the past...just saying I think RG3 may be different. Say what you will...and I'll say what I will. I may be wrong..you may be. Truth is, neither of us have any idea. And you say nothing supports my argument, I could say the same about yours. Your basing one person because of his race on others...it's hilarious. One of the most racist things I've ever heard. But you keep fighting the good fight, sir...

Learn to read, you god-fearing mongoloid. His blackness is but one factor in his doomed career. He's a Big 12 QB, only played out of the shotgun, and went against horrible defensive teams week after week. I have to keep repeating this cause that point is simply not getting through to you.

When an entire conference's QB's suck in the pros for damn near 20 years, you should probably take a hint. Now add his unfortunate racial predicament to the picture and the odds are even further stacked against him.

The other thing is that while Baylor's receivers aren't world beaters, they were WAAAAAAAAY better than the trash Luck had to throw to at Stanford. Luck also demonstrates the ability to involve multiple tight ends in the passing game, while throwing to the tight end is something the black QB has historically struggled with (like Mike Vick ignoring Brent Celek his entire career in Philly).

Baylor's receivers were pretty damn good; that's worth mentioning. I don't know anything about Stanford's receiving core, but Baylor's was well above average. , they may end up being better than the receivers Griffin sees in Cleveland. Griffin's ability to hit his receivers in the hands at all points on the field was remarkable, though. I think people will be surprised at how accurate Griffin is when he's in the pros.

All that said, Luck has all the traditional quarterback skills in spades (snicker) and is an outstanding athlete to boot. I'm a huge Baylor homer, but it's completely logical that Luck is the runaway first pick and is likely to be a better pro. I'm not going to say that Griffin can't be a good NFL quarterback, but if you're picking this high in the draft, you're hoping for a guy with hall of fame potential, and that looks more like Luck at the moment.
