    So now we have a...Finals-

    sweep
    4:1
    4:2
    4:3
    (ok, not in that order!)

Just wondering, if the feeling is better that way, or with 5 or 6 Finals trips, with us loosing some?

A little like the Pats discussion about two Superbowl losses taking something away from their legacy.

While logic says otherwise, I like it as it is right now. Anytime I'm watching a Spurs finals series, I know, there was a happy ending for us.

BTW, while we are not the favs to come out of the west, there isn't a clear cut lock to do that...so its possible for us, to get to the Finals (but then loose to a team like Miami or Chicago).

The Thunder have no experience. I call Portland/Denver upsetting them.

Spurfans would still enjoy the run (with good reason), if they had one last hurrah at an NBA le. The hope is that the good memories ac ulated in the first 3 rounds won't be forgotten when Miami sweeps.

    What's this "MIA/CHI" bs?

    It's:

    Miami

    Chicago

New York (when all is said and done they're the 3rd best team in the East)
    Orlando
    Philly
    Indiana
    .....

agreed, but I think its fair to include CHI and if its only for the "LeBron or Wade could be hurt come playoff time" factor.

Tbh, a fitting end to the Spurs run might be getting beat in the Finals. That way they would have experience each possible outcome.

And then as Spurs fans we could just tell the story about the improbable run and then end the story once they make the Finals ... kinda like Major League

Ehhhhhhhhh I would rather see Tim 4-0 in the finals rather than losing one! Just end this now if they get there and lose IMO . I love the 4-0 thing like Jordan is 6-0, how many can say they never lost a finals? I can't think of many, seriously (Horry 7-0?). I would rather not get there than to get there and lose unless it's a 7 game war (Pistons of 05 still get my spect).

We need to go as far as possible. Making the Finals would just stun the out of everyone. Who knows with compe ors like Manu, TP, and the Goat? I'm liking the tenacity of some of young players.....the odds aren't good, but ya never know!!??

I would prefer to win the WCF than lose it. The Finals comes after that and we start over. I would never say I would rather not be in the Finals than be in and lose.

If the spurs make it to the finals that means some miracle must have happened. Everyone stayed healthy, the defense rallied, the return of Manu and ford blended seemlessly into the offense, and either Duncan turned the clock back five years defensively or the spurs managed to find a quality defensive big by the trade deadline. If all those things happened then I like the spurs' chances against the heat. But of course they will not happen so duncan will remain undefeated in the finals.

The Heat of 2012 are not the Heat of 2011. These guys are like NBA2K12 with the cheat codes.

I still think the Heat can be stopped with the Mavs blueprint. You have to play zone defense and have some defensive anchors that can discourage James/Wade from attacking the paint. On offense you have to take care of the ball and attack them inside the paint.

To me it comes down to wade's health, cause if lebron has to be the man in the finals he will choke just like he did last night. okc looks great but where will their inside scoring come from in the playoffs? We stay healthy, we got as good a shot as anyone.

This. They are annihilating teams left and right, they have superstars, and they have a good bench too. Only injuries can stop them.

Portland won't upset OKC. Spurs and OKC in the WCF.
