What game was it? There are games where you can buy extra stages and but never heard of anything over $1-3.
Okay, so here's the story. I let my 11 year old nephew play with my iPad on Saturday and of course he wanted to buy a video game app which I allowed him to do. According to Robert (my nephew) this was only costing me a couple of bucks. He hollered at me a couple times asking if he could buy such and such for 99 cents each and I said okay, but that's IT! Well yesterday I get email invoices from iTunes for about $85 BUCKS! It listed out about 15 items that it said were "In App Purchases". WTF??? I have already been charged for all of this . Is this normal? Needless to say, my nephew will not be playing with my iPad again in the near future.

An example below:
Army of Darkness Defense HD, 150,000 Gold
Report a Problem
Backflip Studios In-App Purchase $9.99
Yeah he could of brought them in game.
Does he know the password to the account? I thought it asks for a password before purchases.
Yes, there are apps and games that can charge you for bonus content, hints, extra levels, etc....I thought that it prompts for your AppleID and password when you try to make the purchase, but it may remember it after you've initially put it in, at least for that session (until you sleep or turn off the phone).
Time get that kid mowin' lawns.
I bet the little sucker saw me enter my password. smh.
I guess you gotta charge it to da game!
He gamed you good.
That's only $10 did you look at your purchase history?

There were several others. The total came to about $85.
There's a setting where you can not allow in-app purchases.
Is that an iPad setting? Or a setting in the game?
It's an iPad setting.
Settings -> General -> Restrictions -> In-App Purchases
Lil' dude shat on your CC.
What he said. A gal I work witch's son did this to her but I think it was in the $100's. She called Apple and they waived the charges. Give it a shot.
Complaining about $85 bucks? in broke ass.
