In the Utah game, Neal went up at the rim, and when he came down one of the Jazz (Millsap maybe?) came down directly on the back of his heel. (Think shopping cart ramming into your Achilles' tendon, but with someone's full body weight behind it.) Neal came up gimpy on that play. He played limited minutes against Portland, even though we were short several players already. He may have tweaked it again against Denver, but it sure looked like it was a continuation of what happened in that Portland game. (I know it says hamstring, but they also said he had a big toe problem in the last game.)

If it is from that play, it isn't a conditioning problem. Not much you can do about a guy landing on your heel.
nor is there anything you can do when Blake Griffin is fouling the out of you and comes down on you (tiago splitter)....

It may really be time to sign another player just to help weather the injury storm. Seriously, Julian Wright might not be the worst idea ever.

Yea, I know, we need a big man. But right now we need a little of everything with half the roster hurt.

Tomorrow is the last day of Dawson's 10 day contract. It's likely that he'll get another 10 days or that they'll sign a different 10 day player in time for Friday's game v. Charlotte.

If everything goes right, I hope we're back at full strength by Sunday against Denver. Hopefully Ford, Splitter, and Neal can go tomorrow, and Manu and Kawhi come back Sunday....

I hope Ford, Splitter, and Neal are good to go tomorrow. Damn and I thought the All Star Break would heal these guys.
same here....but if splitter and neal aren't 100% than I say don't play them...yes we need those guys to win but I rather have a healthy squad than a gimpy squad.....damn why all of a sudden injuries are piling up...

Now if Splitter and Neal can play the Spurs will have a chance. Really wish Leonard could go to put him against Deng and maybe some time on Rose.

Why does this have to happen right before we play Chicago, at home nonetheless? This could have been a great statement W for us. Instead we are going to get smacked. Splitter and Leonard are the key players off our bench Defensively. They make us a different team with their presence. We don't have length without these guys. Hopefully Blair can beast tonight.

Well , so much for resting and healing up during the All-Star Break.

it, sit everybody then. Toss another game. I don't give a of the rest of the league cries about it. Health is our #1 priority.

Gary Neal (hamstring) says he's good to go tonight vs. Bulls. Jersey hanging in Splitter's locker indicates his intention to play as well.

Tiago Splitter just walked toward the court in uniform. He has one of those huge stretch bands on his right calf. #Spurs #Bulls

Heh... not often that news of a guy with a huge stretch band on his leg is met with such enthusiasm. What a season.

Better than no Splitter at all. Chances are it's just a precaution; if his game is impacted it shouldn't be all that much.
