I think a fan said that, but I could be wrong.

I don't understand twitter most of the time.

It was from a fan. Samples re-tweets a ton of stuff.

For those that can't see his page (@10justscored), his profile picture is him wearing Texas jersey besides Jake Oliver.

Oh yeah, and Raulerson's response to Stewart's tweet:

@JakeRaulerson55: @KohlStewart1 @rickysealsjones @10justscored he likes to win game tho haha”

I'd ask everybody to be patient on Darius James committing to Texas. He's coming, just let him make his visits. Remember recruiting visits are fun, and this could be his only chance to be wooed.

RE: Samples, you have to wonder his ship is still there. I think Warrick and Samples are redundant. Burton will argue with you on that, but they play the same position. Unless the plan is to take Samples and move Warrick to corner, I don't see how adding Samples makes much sense. He's a talent, but he's not a talent you make room for. Again I personally prefer Massington, and it's not even close.

I think Texas won't get a commit for awhile. All the surprises have already happened. I hope y'all like spring practice reports.

That's funny cause hookem 247 practice report is significantly different than that.
I don't know who is right or wrong, but I will say that Shuttlesworth's stuff hasn't been anything special for the last couple months. Anyone could make up the stuff he writes.

    RSJ to Stewart:

RickySealsJones @10justscored....the last time aggy won a le @KohlStewart1 was three years old. just sayin.
the last and only time Aggy ever won a national le was before these recruits' parents were even born.

Are you kidding, some of these kids grand parents weren't even born.

1939 was a long time ago.

The 75th anniversary of that epic event is coming up, who is going to attend the gala?

Seals Jones was obviously referring to the Big 12 championship in 1998.

I still think that Smythe commits next week after his Stanford visit (but maybe not to us, who knows).

Darius James won't be able to go to Oklahoma this weekend, so he will try to go later. This one seems to take a while.

    Quotes from ATH Naashon Hughes:

"Basically, the day before, I called coach (Stacy) Searels, called my brother, called coach (Manny) Diaz. We all spoke," Hughes said. "They all said to go wherever my heart is, where I feel most comfortable. When I sat down and thought about it all, it was Texas."

"Basically, the coaching staff (reason for committing). I know everybody, it has that family feel to it," Hughes said. "They actually care about their players. I like the fact that you feel that they care about you more than just as a player."

"I talked to coach Diaz about that at the junior day," Hughes said. "He talked about me playing a lot of same things I play now, kind of a down safety, outside linebacker hybrid."

"I talked to him (Camrhon Hughes) a lot the past couple of days. He's been trying to get me to commit ever since he did," Hughes said. "He tells me it's a lot of fun there, that I'll enjoy myself while I'm there. He says all good things about it."

"My feelings towards Texas never changed. I've always loved Texas, everything about it," Hughes said. "It's just the atmosphere. I really wanted to play for Texas. When I got the opportunity I had to take it."

I don't know if any of the Jesus fans saw him recently mention Moss as an attrition candidate because of off-the-field issues, but here's this from his Facebook:

"Longhorn Nation... it's about to be released to public, but I'm not doing spring football for the time being. I'm in a ton of hours, and I have a lot of class conflicts with practice times. Need to get my grades up anyways. It's something I need to do with the recent changes I've made in my life, and honestly it's something I can do with the fullback spot being wide open. So copy this on OB or whatever, but I'll definitely be playing 2012 season. Don't take it the wrong way."

OT Trenton Brown hopes to add Texas offer

    By William Wilkerson

The Longhorns are still trying to figure out what offensive linemen to offer in 2013 aside from Kent Perkins, who has committed, and Darius James, who might do so soon.

One player that would love to be in the mix is Trenton Brown (Albany, Ga./Georgia Military College).

“I like Texas. It’s home really,” Brown said. “My mom is from Texas and I was born in Austin. My aunt stays in Austin about 10 minutes away from the stadium, and my grandpa lives in Bastrop.”

Article on Trenton Brown picking up Florida offer (he also has offer from Georgia). He must be a big boy - this article says he is 6-foot-8 and 350-lbs.

247 -- Darius James hurt his foot but its nothing serious and is expected to make a full recovery. He did cancel his OU visit and his best buddy did commit to Texas but don't expect a commit any time soon. Texas is still in the lead.

    Random updates from OrangeBloods...

**DT Joey Bosa of Fort Lauderdale, FL had a follow-up conversation with Manny Diaz and Bo Davis this week after the staff had the opportunity to watch his film. There's still not a whole lot of movement but the interest is mutual and Bosa says an offer from UT would put them at the top of his list.

**A new name to look out for is TE Charlie Reid of FW All-Saints Episcopal. He had an invite to JD2 but was unable to make it down to Austin. He's definitely a guy to watch during the spring evaluation period and was recently offered by TCU.

**TE Durham Smythe will be at Stanford this weekend.

**S Kameron Miles picked up an offer from West Virginia this week.

**WR Ra'Shaad Samples received an offer from Nebraska.

**CB Maurice Smith added Notre Dame to his list.

**OLB Reggie Chevis pulled in offers from Iowa State, LSU and Texas A&M.

**OL Maurice Porter received offers from Alabama and West Virginia. He's scheduled to visit OU this Saturday, Baylor on Sunday and Texas Tech later in the month.

**Two big names to remember for 2014; DB Cedric Collins of Dallas Skyline and ATH Nick Harvey of Lancaster. Collins has been offered by Baylor and Harvey picked up Baylor and Texas A&M.

Alabama is the used car lot of college football. They will make an offer to anybody with capability. I can see saban pulling up in a golf cart in a cheesy crimson suit asking recruits,"what do I need to do to see you leave here with a letter of intent

Some honest questions, is Maurice Porter Alabama's Number 1 Priority at OT? If Porter called Saban today could he commit? Would his commitment be honored if Alabama landed other target? Has Porter spoken directly to Saban?

Does Saban speak directly to each player that receives an offer? If no, an Alabama offer might as well be rainbow dust and unicorn milk.

I'm not saying Bama's recruiting philosophy isn't effective, but it's dishonest. Not every offer is real. I hope every Texas kid asks himself the aforementioned questions before getting interested in Bama.

In other news, my personal favorite Dalton Santos recently ran a 23.8 200m at 252 pounds. Pretty darn good for a kid that's too slow to drop back in coverage.

On the horn they kind of discussed what Alabama does when they get commits from those that aren't top priorities. They force them to gray shirt if they want to go to bama. If true it sucks for the recruits who could spent their time on other schools that have a genuine interest in them.

PREACH!!! Thess questions pretty much match up with everyone else's thoughts concerning Alabama's recruitment. They recruit like theyre playing the game NCAA Football. Come on man u cant play with kids futures like that. Im tired of going to there recruiting page on espn and they already have 25 commitments and another 25 prospect with scholarship offers considering. This has to backfire in the worst way one year for them.
