Breitbart was a murderer who got away with it because of his political ties and family name????
    No connection.

Personally, I was not as proud of the haughty manifestations I saw against Breitbart as various of my friends seemed to be. There is a -- how shall we say? -- somewhat disagreeable (but entirely human and thus, routinely predictable and foreseeable) element of macabre relish at play...

I think he means the whole "lack of respect for the recently deceased" thing, but go ahead and be obtuse by intentionally missing the point if you want.

dying doesn't automatically confer sainthood on an asshole, doesn't automatically absolve him of his dirty, fraudulent political tricks. His infamy will outlive him, for sure.

WH missed the point when he tried to correlate the two.

surely it is fair to make reference to Breitbart's behavior on the day of Ted Kennedy's death, on the day of his own death. and to quote him.

    if not, why not?

But there’s nothing new about the clip or Obama’s role in the controversy at Harvard Law School. In 2008, as a part of our quadrennial election special The Choice 2008, FRONTLINE ran the same footage of the speech as a part of an exploration of Obama’s time at Harvard Law School, where he graduated in 1991. It’s been online at our site and on YouTube since then.

apparently Breitbart's Ghost is an aggregator too. some scoop.

As Thomas Sowell will explain to you, back in 1992, it's not just that Derrick Bell wanted more black professors; he wanted more black professors that ascribed to his bat- racist and crazy idea on "critical race theory."

But, also, it's more than that, even...

Why, if Bell was such a benign figure, did Harvard Law School’s Professor Charles Ogletree gloat about hiding the most explosive portion of the video released by Breitbart? Why did Buzzfeed feel it necessary to attempt a pre-emptive release of a version of the video with, again, that portion edited out? Why did Soledad Obrien [boy, she got her panties in a wad] feel it necessary to argue with Breitbart's Joel Pollack over the definition of "critical race theory."

Incidentally, it appears the wikipedia definition may have been fed to Ms. O'Brien, during the broadcast because it closely matched what can NOW be found there. And, another interesting development is there appears to be a wiki-war over the definition taking place...

In the version dated January 31, 2012, the words "white supremacy" and "racial power" appear.

Although no set of canonical doctrines or methodologies defines CRT, the movement is loosely unified by two common areas of inquiry. First, CRT has analyzed the way in which white supremacy and racial power are reproduced over time, and in particular, the role that law plays in this process.
However, the current version states the following:

Although no set of canonical doctrines or methodologies defines CRT, the movement is loosely unified by two common areas of inquiry. First, CRT has analyzed the way in which racial hierarchies are reproduced over time, and in particular, the role that law plays in this process.
You can see both versions on this page. If you go to the revision page, it looks like a little war broke out today, with edits and re-edits. One participant commented that it had obviously been changed to match "Soledad Obrien's empty-headed explanation on television last night."

What was the rally about at which your President asked everyone to open their hearts and minds to what Professor Bell was saying? It was a send off for Professor Bell who was taking a paid leave of absence in an effort to extort Harvard into giving tenure to an African-American female professor that believed in "critical race theory" as he did.

    But, wait! There's more...

From a letter to the editor in the Harvard Crimson in 1990.

To the Editors of The Crimson:

I felt an obligation to attend Weld Professor of Law Derrick A. Bell's speech last week. A respected scholar and teacher, Bell was about to cross a personal Rubicon, and what he had to say deserved to be heard. Unfortunately, what he said shocked me, for it was utterly repugnant to the very ideals he purports to believe: diversity and equality.

At one point in his speech, Bell said that it was not enough for the University to hire somebody who looked Black, but who thought white. Will Bell tell us how white people think? Will he tell us how Black people think? Will Bell be the arbiter of who thinks like a white and who thinks like a Black? Will he be satisfied if the Law School hires someone who "looks white" but "thinks Black?"...
And, guess what Mic e was doing during all this?

Yep, being a good Bell acolyte...occupying the Law School Dean's office to help achieve the ends Bells sought.

Also, when Obama was teaching at Harvard, he required students to use at least three of Bell's books in his class.

Face it, you've elected a radical racist as President.

Ironically, a dead Breitbart is going to vet him better than the live mainstream media ever dared to.

has Obama espoused CRT in public, or is it more of an esoteric cult, like Freemasonry?
