Arian Foster won’t be going anywhere.
The Houston Texans and Foster have agreed to a five-year contract extension, as confirmed by Foster’s agent, Mike McCartney, on Twitter.
There’s no word on how much money the Texans will be paying Foster, but this will be an interesting contract to see: After disappointing seasons from big-money running backs last year, NFL teams are generally expected to be hesitant to sign running backs to long-term deals this year. But the 25-year-old Foster and the Texans have found common ground on a contract that will keep him in the fold until he’s 30.
Foster is coming off a 2011 season in which he missed three games and was slowed by hamstring injuries in others, but still managed to run the ball 278 times for 1,224 yards and 10 touchdowns, and catch 53 passes for another 617 yards and two touchdowns.

The way the NFL has been chewing up running backs lately I don't think he'll be worth a damn in five years but if they can squeeze three good seasons out of him at that price tag this looks good.
Giving him that kind of money likely means that Mario Williams will either sign for less money or leave for free agency.
Luckily for Houston, Mario Williams has already gone on the record as saying that he'd rather stay in Houston than sign a max deal. So Williams could still stick around despite this signing.
So glad they got this done quickly...and at a decent price too. Johnson is the Texans best offensive player, but Foster is their best weapon. Beyond his excellent one cut ability he adds a whole new dimension in what he can do after a catch out of the backfield. As SFIE said, even if the only get three good season out of this deal its worth it as the next three years should be deep playoff runs.
He doesn't have to act like a badass. He already is.
