C-Webb has made it abundantly clear over the years with his criticisms of Dirk that he's a jealous hater. Also interesting because C-Webb over his ended up falling in love with that free throw extended midrange jumper and behind the back passes instead of using his athleticism and physicality to stay a dynamic force in the post. I don't mind his commentary in general, but he's a re ed jellycat when he criticizes Dirk.
But, hey, he gets paid to have an opinion so what are you going to do?

No. Dirk is a legit PF with excellent post up skills. He played like a SG (Soft guard) when he first came into the league to around 2006. And then Carlisle made him into a legit post up threat.

He shoots a lot of jumpshots like a guard and drives like a guard yes. But Dirk is mainly a post player now, he doesn't iso as much either. Most of his damage is down in the high post with his back to the basket. The only guard I can think of that operates in that area a lot is Kobe
Why yall s getting butthurt for? Thats like saying Duncan plays like a center now. Its true. Just like its true that Dirks game isnt really that of a true bigman. He relies mostly on his jumper, even his go to fadeaway is more a guards move than a bigmans. Plus hes averaging like 6 rpg.

Exactly. He plays somewhat like a guard I admit but he also plays in the post as well. His entire Thunder series last year was mainly in the high post tbh

Dirk can play high or low. It just depends what you throw at him. There are some guards that go in the post and bigs that shoot 3's. The way Webber explains it seems like a hateful way. Dirk is versatile enough to take it down low against weaker players. Imo having 5 players that are capable of hitting the 3 is really hard to guard with a player that is capable of driving and kicking out. Dirk playing more traditionally would actually hurt Dallas. Imo Durant is more like a guard than Dirk. But you don't hear Webber hating on Durant.

dirk is unique and he survived this way i think web just pointed out some simple truths w/o no intent of humiliating & hating. dirk's a great player no doubt and he's probably the only reason why the mavs are still in contention, but most other PFs 6'10 or higher do not play that way tbh
