Kobe 17th all time on PER, James is 2nd [near Jordanesque] when all is said and done James will have numerous championships and be rated a far greater player than the great gunner that is one Kobe Bryant who ABSOLUTLEY proved he cannot win without great big men. AT least James went to a finals without great talent besides him while Kobe until he had the best front line in the game failed terribly.

If Kobe realized that he's no longer a consistent go-to guy, and deferred to Bynum and Gasol more often, they would still be scary IMO..it would help if Goudelock received more minutes and LA added another bench player, too..

totally agree ...... the problem isn't the big 3. Bryant, Gasol and Bynum are cool. The problem will always remain players 4-12 ...... that's what's going to continue to kill them.

Kobe needs to tale two less shots.

Shots that go to Bynum/Gasol, is by stats, 2.5 more points for the Lakers overall. Kobe will miss those shots anyway. So why not put them to work?

Kobe fanboys putting the blame on their lack of depth.

Best frontcourt+an elite SG is a recipe for success. The bench isnt very good but when you have that you really only need the rest of the guys to play some D and hit some open shots. Having someone else that can create their own shot would be a luxury. Kobes unwillingness to distribute the shots is the biggest problem with that team not the bench.
