Hmm... just one thing. Because the Mavs scorer list looks like this:
Nowitzki / Carter 18 points
Odom 15 points
Kidd / Marion 12 points
Those that picked Kidd or Marion will get the points.
After all, the question is "3rs best scorer".
This is the reason why I never credited this questions in past rounds.
But you guys wanted ties to be credited, so be it.

That still makes Odom the 3rd best scorer. Carter & Dirk are the only Mav-players ahead of him.
Those who picked Odom should get the points.
I've always scored them this way.
My heart goes to anyone who picked Odom, but by crediting ties on this round, stuff like this can happen.
Which is why I pay a lot of importance in the wording of my bonus questions.
Had I asked "Who will be the best scorer for the Mavs?" on this game, and Carter and Nowitzki scored the same, thus no one is above the other, so both are valid picks. By the same logic, by asking for "the 3rd best scorer", Kidd / Marion are the valid picks.

But the logic is wrong. Kidd/Marion have the third highest number of points scored, but the third best scorer ist Odom.
In your example you sayCarter and Dirk are not above each other, what would make the pick valid. There are three guys who scored higher than Kidd/Marion. Doesn't matter if two of them scored the same amount of points.
I get your logic. And is very valid. But I've always scored this type of questions looking at the pts scored, and picking the 3rd highest. I've never deviated from this, even when it ed my own scoring (and it happened). I very much preferred my old way of simply not crediting ties, tbh.
Why not change this rule and do what is right?
I'm sure nobody would be against it. It doesn't even have to be for this day. those two points.
Start a thread and announce the change. If anybody is against it and has a valid reason, don't change the rule.
I'll (honestly) consider it.
This type of questions always give trouble. I think I'll do without them till next round (if any) and then ask everyone's opinion on the issue.
