These ing threads are so stupid.
The Lakers, Warriors and Milwaukee are in discussions on a three-team trade, two league sources confirmed.
Pau Gasol, Andrew Goudelock would be sent by the Lakers to the Warriors.
Stephen Jackson, Drew Gooden and Brandon Jennings would be the main outgoing pieces from Milwaukee to Los Angeles. The Lakers may also send a 1st round pick to the Warriors.
The Bucks' involvement is believed to be centered around David Lee, Stephen Curry and Devin Ebanks.
No trade is imminent but talks are ongoing say sources.
The Warriors are 3 games away from the 8th seed and sources has it that owner Chris Cohan is pushing his management to secure a playoff spot this season and bringing in an MVP type player like Gasol is the last missing piece Mark Jackson wants on his roster. Brandon Jennings has irked the Bucks owner regarding his "desire" to test the market next season and hopes to sign to a bigger market and as a result, is now listening offers to package the supposedly face of the Milwaukee franchise according to sources. The Bucks are also sending Stephen Jackson to Los Angeles after Jackson has openly voiced his unhappiness in Milwaukee. So Jackson may soon rejoin his former Pacer teammate. The Bucks will receive David Lee Devin Ebanks, and the highlight of their trade will be the very talented but fragile scoring guard Stephen Curry. The Los Angles Lakers will lose one of their best asset (in terms of value) but they will also net a future All Star Guard in Brandon Jennings to pair with the recent emergence of Andrew Bynum. Sources has advised that Jim Buss is on the verge of creating his own version of Shaq-Kobe duo with the acquisition of Jennings to pair with Bynum.
For those that are hopping on board during trade deadline season, understand that capped-out NBA teams (and most teams are over the salary cap) must approximate the salary they're trading away with the salary they're taking back in and all numbers matched for each corresponding teams.
Here's the problem
- Jennings, Kobe, Artest, Gooden & Bynum defeat the current Lakers
but
- Doesn't put the Lakers into the TOP4 team discussion & it locks them in commitments for the near future
Soruces...so tasty. Yum yum!
I agree, I think most of these beat writers, journalists would do anything to get their 15 minute claim of fame, especially when they cite unnnamed "sources" but I thought I'd share it here anyway since its interesting.
Luke Walton is expiring next year. The Laker may amnesty Artest this offseason creating a capspace to sign Jennings and Bynum next year.
Question is, who gets less playing time between Fisher, Blake and Jennings? I have a feeling the Lakers may send Blake to another team on a seperate deal. Perhaps to Portland for Felton?
Deadline is just a few days away, who is going to make a move?
I'd shoot myself.
You don't like the proposed package Seppe? I think this cures every Lakers ailment if it goes down.
Perimeter scoring? Check
Hustle player down low? Check
Jackson, Artest, and Barnes all on the same team. That's pretty much a guranteed tech a game.
he can at least knock down an open shot.
Jackson is shooting 35% from the field, and 20-something from 3..he can't knock down open shots on a consistent basis..
Jackson mentally checked out. He wants a winning environment. A change of scenery will do wonders for him I bet.
He's still going to have Mike Brown coaching him on offense, the man who takes a timeout to draw up a inbound to Kobe and iso him at the top of the key.
Who's the GM for the Warriors?
Jennings and Kobe sharing the ball
Sure
Kobe has shown he's willing to share the rock. Jennings is the real deal, I can see this going down.
At any rate, I guarantee one of the players mentioned above will be dealt one way or another.
Sources: There will be 10 more bull sources threads before the trade deadline.
Book it.
Terrible trade for the Lakers. Jennings is awful and they would get worse trading Gasol for that crap.
@ DMC,this thread is not your personal sandbox. If you're not going to contribute, I'm going to ask you to leave this thread.

According to one GM, Laker fans should be happy. Sounds like
GM Mitch Kupchak is really, really trying to make something happen.
