    Hakeem.

Surprised nobody even mentioned Clyde Drexler. Also surprised nobody mentioned Moses Malone, but I guess the 17 games he played in SA disqualifies him.

It was hard for me not to like Dr. Dunkenstein and "The Chocolate-Thunder-Flying, Robinzine-Crying, Teeth-Shaking, Glass-Breaking, Rump-Roasting, Bun-Toasting, Wham-Bam, Glass-Breaker-I-Am-Jam." (Crazy-assed Darryl Dawkins.) Maybe it was just my age at the time.

One guy I always liked, because he was a tough sonofa , and who deserves more nostalgia recognition than he gets is Robert Parrish. The last full season he played, he was 39 years old. And he was still better than all but a handful (give or take) of the centers in the league right now. Put that 39 year-old Robert Parrish on this Spurs team, and they would be legitimate contenders.

    Edit:
Forgot to mention a player who went to high school in Schertz and played college ball at St. Mary's. But he was always one of my favorites because he's just a really nice guy. Robert Reid. His career stats weren't overwhelming, but he had a knack for coming up with big shots and plays in the clutch. Has was a steal with the 40th overall pick in the draft.
    I mentioned Drexler

Joe Dumars. He would have been a perfect Spur. The Pistons already had an All Star PG in Isaiah, yet they drafted him anyway. He was a good enough shooter to slide over to the two, a good enough defender to give MJ fits, and a humble enough person to not make Zeke go emo or feel threatened.

    In the following order:
Magic - ultimate team leader, just fun guy to watch
Hakeem - best individual low post player I watched
Nique - that windmill jam, and that double pump baseline dunk vs. the Bucks was the best non-Kemp/non-Carter in game dunk I have seen. No, the 97 season doesn't count because he was beyond washed up at that point (at least to the high standards he set himself.
Kemp - People around me are talking about Griffin being the best dunker of all time, I advise them watch some Kemp/Carter tapes/videos, and they came back admitting that Griffin has a way to go
Pippen - Best perimeter defender I have seen (yes, better than Bowen, Cooper, Payton, Moncrief), and an unbelievable orchestrator on the offense, one of the most underrated player of the 90s
Bird is growing on me lately, I am not sure why I am appreciating his game more and more after almost 30 years, perhaps just gaining perspective as I am appreciating fundamental basketball more and more.
Drexler - his game was so awkward and smooth at the same time
Allen Iverson - Just too much fun to watch, the best streetballer who ever played in the NBA.
Barkley - There will be another Jordan, another Magic, another Bird, another Duncan, another Shaq, another Kareem, but there will never ever be another Barkley again. That guy is just so oddly built.
Charles Oakley - the guy is just a nutcase. His defense was beautiful to watch, and the only guy who had the guts to slap Barkley in public, and Barkley not have the guts to retaliate (well, at least according to rumours).
Rony Seikaly - I really don't know why, but I always enjoyed watching his low post game, at least the 2 Miami games that were broadcasted back in the day.

But I still remember him doing a huge put-back dunk as a Spur ... he was washed up, but he could still jump very high ...
