Does Deron Williams have the same ability to "opt-in" or is he completely free this summer?
Deron has the same player option for 2012-13, just like Dwight, just like CP3.
To me, doesn't change much, except it kills the trade talks for now midseason.
I still expect Dwight to be traded in the off season. But now he guarantees his new team has his Bird rights to offer a bigger extension, as opposed to signing as a free agent for a smaller deal worth at least $30 million less. Makes sense actually.
just more time for orl to trade his ass
Biggest ing pussy in the nba, just passed up Le
He's staying with his team and he's an asshole. Why couldn't he do the respectable thing like leaving his franchise high and dry like LeBron, Bosh, Carmello. Wait...
The good news is that you know some grays will make "Howard a Spur?" threads upstairs all next year, like they do with every unattainable FA.
In fairness to Dwight, it's probably not a small decision deciding where you want to live and play ball for perhaps the rest of your career, at least the next few years.
Laker fans beat us to that one, tbh. You aren't getting Howard.![]()
Well then he needs to shut the up and quit making demands. He just doesn't want to be disliked by fans, he's an attention and he doesn't want his image to take a hit.
We'll get whomever we want, this year or the next
No marquee FA's go to SA![]()
Thank Christ.
Lakers can't even afford to pay for a marquee FA, Kobe eats up more than half the salary![]()
Looks like Williams will be packing his bags for Orlando this offseason.
In fairness, "Bynum and draft picks for Dwight" is a lot more realistic than "Blair and for Dwight!!!"
I'd be happy
That would be cool. I wouldn't mind seeing this happen, I'm a Nets fan first, but I travel/vacation in Orlando at least 4 times a year so I hope this happens if he isn't a Nets![]()
Eh, I still think he'd rather sign with Dallas.
It's been 8 years, it's time to move on.
And how exactly is that going to happen?
Now he's saying he didn't say he was opting on.
