Retire it? I don't think so. Kareem cannot get a statue and Fisher's been traded twice. He's like a ing stray dog that keeps returning.
Today he was treated like the garbage player that he currently is, but do you think the Lakers brass will ultimately reward him by retiring his jersey when it's all said and done for him?
Does he deserve to be next to Magic, Worthy, Wilt, Shaq, etc in the Lakers pantheon?

The Lakers retire the jerseys of Hall Of Famers. If Fisher gets into the HOF they will retire it.
i love fish and what he's done for the franchise but he isnt gonna make the HoF. I dont know if Horry is a HoFer and if he isnt, Fisher most certainly isnt gonna be.

damn @ pakistan ..... rule of thumb for Laker retired numbers. You hafta be HOF bound. Lakers didn't retire Gale Goodrich's number until he was in the Hall. Eddie Jones was sportin' that number around his first year in the league.
Shaquille will have his retired next year but we all know he's HOF bound.
