Kevin Durant wasn't even that good throughout the entire game but Westbrook takes the blame despite carrying the team when they were down by 20 points. The hate is unbelievable.

its always the same story. Westbrick looks awesome all season. until games where OKC is trailing at the end. then he becomes an old Kobe Bryant

my advice is go to Durant every ing time at the end

yeah..I'm sure it had nothing to do with Manu being out, being short a man with RJ gone and no SJax, and no Tiago for the second half. It was all because of Westbrook and his ty 36 points.

Only reason Thunder were still in the game in the 4th quarter was because of Westbrook. You re s call yourself NBA fans?

well you gonna have to look at all the playoff games OKC lost in the last 2 years. and tell me what the Westbrick was doing. he was chucking instead of giving it to his best player Durant.

just watch all the losses and you will see what I'm talking about. vs. Lakers 2 season ago. and vs. Dallas last season.

Westbrook is an idiot, but Durant's acne infested ass should have the balls to demand the ball, instead of watching him blow games, tbh..

    Beard is their closer, anyways..

Dude, you are only speaking the obvious to all of us. But we're talking about tonights game here. He kept them in the game until late in the 4th and then ed up. But Thunder would have lost by 20+ if it wasn't for him (and yes Harden was money).

For all the re s in here: playing well for three quarters doesn't excuse a PG of missing 7 shots in a row in the 4th quarter while ignoring open teammates. Every shot was highly contested by 1-3 defenders. I couldn't believe my eyes... But I realized it was RW and I was no longer surprised. It's what he does. He took 10 more shots than Durant.

"But he carried the team for 2 quarters, so he's allowed to take 28-foot 3-pointers with his eyes closed!"

Nobody is excusing that. He screwed up in the end, but he wouldn't even have the chance to screw up in the first place if he didn't carry the team to come back and make the game the contest. The Oklahoma City Thunder did not lose the game because of Russell Westbrook alone.

This type of reasoning is incredibly flawed.

What's it matter if he kept them in the game, if it results in him no longer being accountable to his teammates for his shot selection?

My point is the Thunder's loss isn't on Westbrook as the OP and others in this thread have insinuated. Him and Harden carried the team. I never compared Westbrook to Kobe. Westbrook isn't a closer and he does suck in the 4th.

For the record i do believe the Thunder would be better without Westbrook in the long run. But tonight he was their best player.

...and their worst. Basically he could have sat out this game and the result would have still been the same: L
