tbqh Neal was quite horrendous running backup PG tonight. Hope Manu gets healthy and can take most of that duty.
Das right mofo's.. you heard it here first. Bring on the Jack and give this clown a bench seat ASAP!

that spurs 2nd year program is paying dividends...
You got so butthurt about my comment.![]()
No more trade deadline jitters.
contract year, look for the spurs to lowball him like they did to jax in 03
What are you expecting of him? To be the next John Stockton?
Fisher isn't any better at creating or distributing off the dribble-- like a true point guard. In fact, he has no skills of a true point guard in half-court sets at this stage of his career. None. He's a limited spot up shooter who's regressed in that one attribute.
tbqh I thought Neal did a decent job. Spurs just need him and Manu to hold the fort down for 12-15 minutes a night-- which they are more than capable of doing. Them sharing duties allows Pop to find more quality minutes for the better players on the roster (Green/Leonard/Jackson).
tbqh I don't even know why I'm having this conversation with you. I understand how you don't understand. tbqh.
Yeah Derek Fisher can't run an offense what so ever.
Ok be a about it. It's no coincidence he had the worst +/- on the team. He was bad at running point with Tony out. Flat out bad. He isn't a PG anymore than RMJ was.
Letting Neal concentrate on his bread and butter would be in the best interest of him and the team. (Shooting the ball). Not expecting him to be something he's not.
Ya'll realize Green is just SJaxx revisited right?
The two pretty much have the same game (going back to Jackson's breakout year). It's unsure whether or not Green will have the same career arc as Jackson, but on court, Their games pretty much carry the same strength and short comings.
Both possess fearlessness, both are willing shooters, both handle the ball fairly well and are good passers, both are turnover prone and will make the wrong decisions from time to time. Both are aggressive players. Sure, there might be some things one does better than the other, but they both bring the same things to the table. At this point in their careers, it's tough to choose one over the other.
The only real thing that separates them is experience. That and they're nearly a decade apart (age). Jackson will continue declining, Green should continue to improve. Either way, I'm happy to have both on the squad and Jefferson out of the picture.

If you look at stats, even career ones, Stephen Jackson is less than ordinary. He shoots below the NBA average (36%) for three pointers(33.7%) and actually shoots worse in the playoffs (31.8%).

So stupid.
SGs as point guards work just fine.
Worked great in 09....
I think KL and Green have the 3 spot covered. Now if Jackson could be turned into a replacement for Bonner I think the team would be complete. Blair like he showed tonight can provide energy of the bench.
John Paxson
Steve Kerr
Derek Fisher
All smallish guards with average handles that people mistook for PGs in a Phil Jackson offense that doesn't have one.
Kid sucks.... my boys will make an example of him and this whole scrub azz team tomorrow night.
...
BRING IT ON CLOWN![]()
Parker - Leonard - Jackson
Neal - Ginobili - Green
OR
Parker - Green - Leonard
Neal - Ginobili - Jackson
Leonard has to start and set the defensive tone early. Jackson should start if he's right for the role. Either way, that's a nice rotation.
You are certainly right sir. Jason Kidd does kinda suck this year. I'm pretty sure he and the rest of his scrub azz teammates will be made examples of.
Only reason Mavs may win tomorrow night is because the Spurs played a road back to back.
Wonder if Houston will release Fisher and he will return to the Lakers.
Spurs aren't losing. Dirk will take one look at Mav killer Jack and he'll run and hide.
The dude may not have the best +/- numbers but he is clutch.
Ill take all the Kerry Fisher and Paxsons you wanna give me.
Neal is none of those.
