How much of a learning curve is there for Jax? Have the offensive and defensive plays changed much since Jax was here?

In an interview before the game, Jax said that the run through he had with some of the young guys was just about the same as 2003. Not much has changed. And having watched the Spurs for the last 25 years, not much has changed in the last 15 years except player names.

With TP's assist to turnover ratio being superior to Gino's this game, Pop needs to be careful how much he plays Manu if the offense continues to be less efficient with him in. Plus, an entire half time might not be enough time for Manu to properly stretch...

Blair should not start the 2nd half TBH. Just not a good matchup for him.

So far so good, if it wasn't for the free-throw problem we would be up.

Injecting Manu in and out of the lineup has seemingly thrown things out of whack. Hopefully they can overcome the 25% FG from him and the out of rhythm state he has the team in.
I totally agree, he needs to play even back to back from now on.

Tony looks kinda worn down... you could see it last night after he gave up 36 to Westbrook... I wonder if that wrist is bothering him

You know DPG was being sarcastic (mostly for ElNono's sake) right

    Short answer: Yes

He seemed pretty comfortable with the sequence to get Timmy the ball in the post, at least, but we've gone away from that quite a bit since '03

On defense he looked kind of lost when he first got in but seemed to settle quickly.

He does.. But I think he gets it going. Off till Wednesday seeing his team down 2 after his struggles? I think he comes out attacking

Also, you can't have Manu on Roddy either. Roddy lights up with Manu on him and hit a nasty 3 in his one fully healthy eye. So between the iffy defense and 25% shooting, I'm wondering if Pop gave him enough time to heal from the game he didn't play last night?

I'll have to sort through a list of teams to find the other 6'6" C's that Blair does match up against.

We have three days rest coming up so TP should be fine by Wednesday. Just need to pull out a win tonight.

AT the half, we have actually shot a higher field goal percentage than the Mavs have (46% to 42%), and we have 12 assists to their only 8. But they have out rebounded us by about 5 or so boards, and we have only shot 37% of our free throws to their 80%.

In other words, this is just a sloppy game by both teams, and if we could only get our regular percentage of free throws, we could be ahead.

I like Sean, but sometimes he gets on a topic and won't shut up, the game goes on and on and he's still talking on that one thing that happened 15 minutes earlier.

At least you know when the 4th quarter rolls around, you can give the ball to Manu and let him close the game... good to see Gino getting back in shape out there...

Manu needed to make that last shot though, no excuse

Great point. TP has done a great job at that this year. Plus, Manu might get hurt if he has to move.

If Pop insists on small ball with Matt Bonner then he needs to take a look at Nocioni.

Matt Bonner needs to be out of the rotation and I'd much rather Nocioni in that role if Pop insists on keeping it even if they do sign a big.

I don't tweet but if you do... Tweet Jackson after the game giving him props on his defense of impact. Let him know we appreciate that more than anything.

This is Tony's team this year... thus the reason more is asked of him...
