Matt Bonner (back spasms) won't play for #Spurs vs. T-Wolves tonight
Sounds good to me! More Splitter-Duncan
More small ball
Oh , who will guard Love and Pekovic now?
He can make sammitches for the guys in the locker room now.
Jackson is better at the 4 than Bonner is surely..
Now we just need Diaw to sign and this will be an incredible two weeks.
Hopefully it means more Splitter but will likely result in more small ball. Thankfully we have Jackson to help in that area now.
As for Dawson. Probably 0 minutes for him again even down one big.
Well that settles it, I'm buying a ticket for tonight's game!
More minutes for Jax.
Too bad it wasn't a playoff game.
Oh No! Our 3-year-old son is going to the game with timvp and he loves Bonner. He'll be so sad.
Hopefully this means some minutes for Timmy and Tiago together.
And now the mystery of Bonner's abundance of playing time is solved.
Pop: "Hey Kori, I can't stand that "Kool" person. Sure would like to see her subdued."
Kori: "Well, my son would sure like to see more Bonner"
Pop: "Done."
Bonner needs a Baclofen or Dilaudid pump implanted and he'll be good to go![]()
It's time for him to stop believing in thinks like Santa, the Easter Bunny, and that Bonner is a good NBA player, tbh.
Sucks to hear. Back spasms are incredibly painful, although at that level they probably get around the clock treatment and painkillers. Hope Matty rests up though because we have those 3 games in 3 days soon.
Bonner being out during the regular season will be a case of careful-what-you-wish-for. The Spurs have been barely above water with Bonner on the bench this season. It'll be a lot more difficult to win regular season games without him.
Of course, the hope is that Pop will now be forced to play Duncan and Splitter together ... and then fall in love. One of the few times this year he gave extended minutes to Duncan and Splitter was against the T'Wolves so I'm sure we'll see it some tonight.
As for Bonner, this is horrible timing for his back to act up. The schedule is about to get ultra condensed and backs don't heal overnight.
I sincerely think that Bonner should be ultra-careful...these back spasms are wicked...and just to be on the safe side...
I, SB, recommend he take at least 4-6 months off-no basketball at all!!!
You're welcome.
Tell him Bonner's dressed up as the Monster Robot Dog. Solves two problems.
This is a great opportunity for teaching...
The..."things aren't always what they seem" life lesson...
Never too early IMO...
