I'm all for having a healthy Ginobili in the playoffs. But I hope this huge amount of resting doesn't result in him being rusty once we hit the 1st round.

It's tricky because the team has to develop chemistry with Ginobili. If he's constantly in and out of the lineups it becomes harder. Isn't that what Pop was complaining about last season. Both being injury free and developing a good rhythm are important.

I have a feeling Manu still won't be close to 100% by playoffs. Fortunately we have a lot of talent in Neal, Green, and now we have Stephen Jackson to replace some of what Manu does. At this point I will take anything Manu can still contribute to the team. Maybe he should start being more of a role player playing fewer minutes and not be counted on to produce or score as much.

This. If this goes down for the remainder of the regular season is impossible to expect Manu to play at his highest level come playoffs time.

It's crazy how fragile he is. Why is it the Spurs are the only team with the need to do this on a regular basis?

He now has to come off the bench from here on out. Can't have him making roles undefined and inconsistent. Let a starting 5 develop and hope Gino can fit in and be healthy come po time.

Yeah, it's unfortunate. I've defended Manu for years about them mostly being freak injuries but this is getting ridiculous

It would have been better to have traded this gimpy player years ago.

And by years ago, I assume you mean 2009?

Sad thing is Manu has always been very talented but one thing that has killed him and he'll always be known for (besides his flopping) is being injury prone and lately he's become fragile as glass. That finger break didn't even look that bad of a swipe to break it. It's sad to see his career ending this way. If he get's anymore injury prone he may need to consider retirement. He's almost at the point where he shouldn't play more than 20 minutes a game unless we really need him.
