Don't vilify Spurs fans for not being "heartbroken" because Matty is out. We're not sadists, we're just very frustrated with the status quo.

As we all know, Bonner is the quintessential human victory cigar but is severely overused to the detriment of the team. It's frustrating to wish anything bad on someone who looks like a nice guy, but he needs to be off the court until the final minutes of a blowout game.

This sucks for Matty but is good for the Spurs.

During games we watch on TV, this is what I hear:

    "Where's Bonner?"

"Parker - throw it to Bonner!"

"Get it Bonner, get the ball. Mom, he didn't get it again." (regarding rebounding)

"Bonner needs a rest and some Gatorade. He's sweating."
aww he sounds adorable. My 3 year old is also a big fan of the spurs, he knows Tim( he holds the ball like tim at the beginning of every game), Tony and Manu and he loves to say Tigo.

I really hope Bonner doesn't come to this forum...it would be sad for him to read some of the comments. Hope he feels better soon!

Not surprising that kids like a red headed sandwich man. Probably reminds them of Ronald McDonald.

Now, my question is, are there kids that like Blair who has an uncanny resemblance to another McDonalds character?

I am curious as to what the difference in the numbers were when Bonner was out for several weeks last year.

Just out of curiosity - if the Spurs had signed Troy Murphy instead of Matt Bonner, would that be an upgrade or downgrade ?

I think downgrade, troy can't shoot for . And bonner has the size advantage

Don't look now, but Bonner has a total of 9 points in the last four games.

Bonner is 6'10 with t-rex arms. Troy Murphy is 6'11.

Really ? He's 6-11 and is shooting 42.6% on 3s with the Lakers this season.

Seems to do a little of everything as well - he looked alright in the game vs Dallas today.

He defiantly wouldn't get abused as much as Bonner does on the defensive end.

I'm actually bummed about Bonner being hurt. Once Bonner is signed the ideal would be that Bonner moves to the 4th bigman spot and Diaw occupies the 3rd bigman role.

Blair to the bench - only to be seen in garbage time.

Say what you will about the king of the plus/minus - but hes much better than DeJuan at this juncture.

As bad as Blair can be...he plays with heart and will at least grab a steal or grab a rebound...

No way in is Bonner better for the Spurs than ANYONE.

Put down that crack pipe already.
