His D was very good tonight. He also, set some some good screens (Ex. Jack's corner 3) and seemed comfortable in the offense.
Kurt Thomas usually got Duncan. Thats the whole reason they acquired Kurt.

Who doesn't own Stoudemire?
I'd argue that Dice 2 years ago (by himself) was the best option we've had on Dirk since prime Bowen. That's against Dirk the year prior to almost single handedly winning a le. Arguably the third biggest reason we won that series after the play of Parker & Hill.
I would not use PHX and Duncan as an example lol, nobody on that team ever could gaurd Tim really.LOL yeah most success, but it was very limited (Not to fault them then though he is one of the best ever and you could not guard him one on one).
Wasn't saying he could guard Duncan...But somebody on that team had to do it, and I believe Diaw was one of them. Just sayin.
Strange how the Spurs go from not having the personnel on the wings to keep up with quicker teams to being stacked in the backcourt and on the perimeter but with a weak frontline![]()
Yeah, he was setting good screens. I can't wait till TP comes back and we see them on the court together at times.
But anyway, in his limited time, he made waaaay more of an impact playing within the offense/defense than Blair ever has
What stood out to me the most -- other than his defense -- was his high basketball IQ. For just joining the team this afternoon he did a great job in the pick n roll and didn't seem uncomfortable on offense. Can't wait to see how he does with couple of games with this team under his belt.
I was very impressed. He, SJax, and Leonard were giving Dirk fits.
Who would've thought that the Spurs would acquire possibly their 2 best Dirk defenders in a matter of a week.....![]()
jigga wha??? biaw replace amor'e in '06 lineup. '07 and '08 they played together but never face mavs. stupids azz spurmzfan
Is Louis back?
Is this english?
Again, like I said in the pre-signing Diaw thread..
Diaw is not a great defensive player, but his basketball IQ alone, will elevate the Spurs's defense over any defensive contributions that Blair could provide..
Hi defense looked pretty damn good tonight...
Finley?! Defense?
Those two words together being back some bad memories.
I really liked what I saw out of Diaw tonight. Great defense on Dirk, solid rebounding, and excellent screens. He won't need to score with this team.
great picture. i was not expecting diaw to play the amazing defense he played against dirk.
Stoudemire.
My thought exactly.
I remember him doing a fine job on Yao just because he knew exactly what to focus on to have a shot at slowing down the giant.
