Still a PG
If Kyrie was 6'9" and was capable of making a finals winning sky hook over 2 hall of fame 7 footers, that example might be relevant.
Still a PG
it's a PG who could play at an all star level at any other position. It's a fluke example and the fact it's your best example proves my point even more.
When was Parker the best player on a championship team (and no, he wasn't the best player on the 2007 Spurs)
As much as is want Leonard for ROY, Kyrie is the truth.
http://www.basketball-reference.com/...07_finals.html
Leading scorer, 57 FG%
Seems like the best
So a 4 game sample size against one of the worst teams in finals history makes Parker the best player on that team over its 102 game season?
Sound logic right there
Who was their leading scorer and rebounder during the regular season and playoffs?
When does it matter?
In the case of the 2007 Spurs, it mattered in the one playoff series against a team that posed any kind of a real threat to them, and that team wasn't the Cavs.
Regardless, if you seriously think Parker was the best player on the 2007 Spurs, Arguing with someone that re ed is pointless.
Why would you pick Parker over Isiah in this argument?
hindsight
It matters in the finals, the player that steps up in the finals is the best player on the team.
Beacause he's a punkass .![]()
So Cedric Maxwell was the best player on the 1981 Celtics?
points
Larry bird
15pts, 15rbds, 7assts
Cedric Maxwell won finals MVP. By that logic he's the best player on the team since he stepped up the most in the finals.
Quote me where I said finals MVP was important, please.
so in one post, you declare Parker being the Spurs leading scorer in the finals makes him the best player on that team (even though Duncan has significantly more rebounds)
Then a few posts later, youat the argument that Maxwell was the best player for being the leading scorer on the team because of the rebounds Bird had.
Your argument isn't changing at all![]()
You said leading scorer during finals made Parker the best player on the team.
The backflips people do when they try to argue about PGs with me are hilarious![]()
I also pointed at his efficiency, please go to the stats and compare it to Manu & Duncan. Also note that nobody stepped it up across several boxes like Bird did.
+ I'm aware Bird was about 40%
But he did lead the team in rebounding, steals and assists
so now it's about "stepping up across several boxes"? That's not a subjective way of judging it at all.
Duncan having 18 PPG, 11 rebounds per game and 2.3 blocks per game isn't stepping up across several boxes? What exactly qualifies as "stepping up over several boxes" in your book?
You went from using the leading scorer in the finals as your argument to loling points. If that's not switching lanes, I'd love to see what is.
Duncan led the Spurs in rebounds, assists and blocks during the 2007 finals, while being tied with Finley and Ginobili for the lead in steals.
What's your next argument since that didn't work![]()
