    Calling it, Nono. He'll overachieve with this team.

    I hope I'm wrong, though. Nothing would be please me more than to see the Lakers get smashed in the 1st round, but what Brown did in Cleveland with only James and a bunch of scrubs has me believing he'll work some kind of magic with this Lakers team, which is far, far more talented.

    Like I said, his approach looks like in the reg. season, but that grind it out style of his will produce results in the playoffs.
    That team was coachable.

    What you plainly fail to see past your hating and obsession is the obvious. Kobe is a volume shooting scorer. Nothing wrong with that. And the percentages are fools gold. How do you think Drew is getting that 55%. Strickly on post entry passes and his moves? If I have two 7 footers in the paint and a shooting guard commanding double and triple teams I tell him to chuck it and get it to the rim. Offensive rebound and easy high % putback. It's not rocket science.

    It's all about a nice balance of both. If they went even more to Drew first you are going to see even more of the double and triple teams on him and a huge increase on turnovers and loss of in the paint rebounds. He has improved greatly on passing out of the doubles but still needs a lot of work there.

    How funny is it that you keep talking about how Pau and Drew bail Kobe out and how Kobe is shooting an awful percentage. Kobe could care less what his percentage is. He wants to score and he does. When he doesn't there are two bigs in the paint looking for the easy put back. So while you and many others keep obsessing on Kobes effeciency and laughing that hes taking these ridiculous shots with double teams draped all over him, we just end up with the last laugh down the parade route.
    terrible takes from cobbler all around. No surprises here.

    - Kobe rarely gets double-triple teamed anymore. Sefolosha and Allen guarded him one on one.
    - When he does get double-triple teamed, he's still chucking the impossible shot.
    - Bynum on the other hand does get double-triple teamed all the time.
    - Bynum gets half his touches from misses.

    We do agree in some points, namely:
    - Kobe has aged into Allen Iverson with a 3 point shot.
    - Bynum still needs work facing double-triple teams. He's not going to get better without touches though.
    - Agree you need balance. But when your AI is taking 70% of the shots, what balance is there?

    In case you haven't noticed the last 5 years or so, how's that been working for our team versus your well coached team approach?
    comparing Phil Jackson with Mike Brown
    the ty takes never end

    The Lakers are going to be one tough team and very hard to beat 4 out of 7 come playoffs. We shall see if Chicago can pull it off.

    Kobe rarely gets double-triple teamed anymore. Sefolosha and Allen guarded him one on one.
    He gets double teamed plenty and splits them regularly.

    - When he does get double-triple teamed, he's still chucking the impossible shot.
    Many times yes and thats where Drew gets 1/3 to 1/2 his shots as explained in my post. Thanks for agreeing.

    - Bynum on the other hand does get double-triple teamed all the time.
    All the time? Look again. And I am not talking about the phantom I'll act like I am coming to double you and revert back to my man stuff either. All the time? Laughable.

    - Bynum gets half his touches from misses.
    As I said thank you.

    - Kobe has aged into Allen Iverson with a 3 point shot.
    Never mentioned Iverson and to compare the two is typical Nono absurdity.

    - Bynum still needs work facing double-triple teams. He's not going to get better without touches though.
    He gets his share. What Bynum needs to do is concentrate more on the defensive end that he has been neglecting lately. Just like all the media and no doubt you as well commented on his getting benched for taking the 3, he was actually benched for lazily getting back on D after doing so.

    - Agree you need balance. But when your AI is taking 70% of the shots, what balance is there?
    70%? Really? Talk about ty takes. Bynum getting doubles ALL THE TIME and Kobe taking 75% of the shots is just outright BS and your obsessing. Nothing more.

    comparing Phil Jackson with Mike Brown
    Never compared the two. Completely different systems. Do like the way the Lakers play D under Brown though. Going to a huge plus for the team this playoff run.

    the ty takes never end
    This we agree on. Your hatred and obsession blind you and you continue to deliver ty take after ty take. Heck, you post more about the Lakers with your drivel than all the Lakers posters combined. It's comical and very amusing.

    we just take your word for it?

    Many times yes and thats where Drew gets 1/3 to 1/2 his shots as explained in my post. Thanks for agreeing.
    so you agree kobe and his shot selection is the cancer/problem

    which takes us to step two, who's responsible for reeling him in?

    All the time? Look again. And I am not talking about the phantom I'll act like I am coming to double you and revert back to my man stuff either. All the time? Laughable.

    He's getting doubled every time. He commands that *BECAUSE* he's the most efficient scorer on that team.

    Same reason teams can check Kobe one on one these days. You want him to take the shot. If it's a 3, even better.

    Never mentioned Iverson and to compare the two is typical Nono absurdity.
    Iverson is the epitome of "volume shooter". That's what you called Kobe (rightly so I might add).

    He gets his share. What Bynum needs to do is concentrate more on the defensive end that he has been neglecting lately. Just like all the media and no doubt you as well commented on his getting benched for taking the 3, he was actually benched for lazily getting back on D after doing so.
    While Drew has his mental/lazy problems, Pau is a much bigger problem.

    70%? Really? Talk about ty takes. Bynum getting doubles ALL THE TIME and Kobe taking 75% of the shots is just outright BS and your obsessing. Nothing more.
    you don't even know your own team

    This season FGA:
    Kobe = 1194
    Pau = 690
    Bynum = 592

    Never compared the two. Completely different systems. Do like the way the Lakers play D under Brown though. Going to a huge plus for the team this playoff run
    then why did you bring up "the last 5 years"?

    this lakers is even worse than last season's version, and it's not close.

    This we agree on. Your hatred and obsession blind you and you continue to deliver ty take after ty take. Heck, you post more about the Lakers with your drivel than all the Lakers posters combined. It's comical and very amusing.

    so you agree kobe and his shot selection is the cancer/problem
    Comprehension problems? I clearly stated that there needs to be a balance. More often than not its right where it should be. Kobe have averaged basically the same numbers his whole career. And doing so in his 16th season is nothing short of remarkable. 20-23 shots is good. Somethimes he goes beyond and thats a problem but we all have bad days. Cancer? Again, Nono nonesence! You just cannot see that even when he does thow up the absurd shot its all an acceptable part of the plan as they have two of the best bigs there to put em back. That was my point which sadly you hater goggles fail to let you see.

    which takes us to step two, who's responsible for reeling him in?
    Well you brought up the Jackson/Brown thing. PJ the greatest coach of all time was content there as well. Hmmmmmm

    He's getting doubled every time. He commands that *BECAUSE* he's the most efficient scorer on that team.
    Everytime? Really? I see Drew backing his man down one on one plenty. Another Nono idiot take.

    Same reason teams can check Kobe one on one these days. You want him to take the shot. If it's a 3, even better.
    Yet he get's doubled plenty. Ask your stat hoboy to come up with some numbers if you wish. I watch the games. I can see that he commands the doubles. Everytime? No. Only a fool would make that comment about ANY player. * See above comment.

    you don't even know your own team

    This season FGA:
    Kobe = 1194
    Pau = 690
    Bynum = 592
    WOW. So with the abouve numbers Kobe takes 48% of the shots. And that is not including any of the other players. A far cry from your 75% and obvious obsessiveness as I pointed out earlier. Thanks BTW for pulling those numbers to prove your take was bull .

    then why did you bring up "the last 5 years"?
    To point out that with Kobe playing the way Kobe always has we win ships.

    this lakers is even worse than last season's version, and it's not close.

    Heard the very same thing each and every year and yet here we are in the final 3 of last 4 with 2 ships! And I am a self professed Laker homer and have been for 45 years. Yeah, how absurd to be a fan and post about my beloved team which is the most storied franchise in the NBA. You certainly won't see me creating thread after thread and post after post about another team or said teams player(s) on a daily basis. That is just plain sad. Talk about denial.
