RT @LakersReporter: X-rays were negative on Bynum's ankle, & LAL are calling it a "moderate" sprain. But he won't return tonight.

How long would it usually be for a player to have an ankle sprain?

"Moderate"- usually 2 weeks minimum; 4 weeks maximum.

His mobility was really getting good, as was his confidence. He should have time to come back before the playoffs. Hopefully Kobe won't be accustomed to taking 30 shots a game by then.

Why stop at 30? I'm hoping he starts approaching 40 FGA category because the reactions of Laker fans would be funny.

Quite frankly I am suprised it wasn't his knee. Has he had his annual knee injury yet or is he saving it for the playoffs?

I hope it isn't bad, and he makes a speedy recovery.

This is bad for the Spurs. You want the Lakers at full health now, so we see where adjustments need to be made. With an irregular lineup, it changes everything...bad timing.

I never wish injury on another player...first off, it is bush league, second, bad karma.
