If Wilkes can be in the hall for rings then Horry and Kerr should be too.

Spurfan being bitter about a HOFer's jersey number being retired while they themselves retired a role player's jersey
If Wilkes played for the spurs he'd have a statue.

    4× NBA Champion (1975, 1980, 1982, 1985)
    3× NBA All-Star (1976, 1981, 1983)
NBA Rookie of the Year (1975)
    2× NBA All-Defensive Second Team (1976–1977)
    NBA All-Rookie First Team (1975)
    2× NCAA Champion (1972–1973) UCLA
    2× Consensus NCAA All-American First Team (1973–1974)

What's so hard to understand baseline bum?
It's pretty hard to understand why the 1980s Shawn Marion is put in the hall with the all-time greats. LOL @ the college accolades... can't wait to get my tix for the Matteen Cleaves induction.

I don't care about the Lakers retiring his number; I think it's weak to put a supporting player in the HOF just because he has rings.

tbh, I have zero problem with Bowen's jersey being retired... small market team, dude was a key piece on 3 les, and it was even more noticeable when he was traded...

    Now, Avery Johnson...

Coming out of Purdue, Big Dog was just so gangsta ...... didn't get over the hump. A One seed and ending up with nothing to show for it.

Goes to the pros .... 20 point a game scorer with a nice Bucks squad but nothing to show for it. Can he get in? It's possible but he wouldn't get in before say a Chris Webber.

Yeah, Big Dog put up the same rebounding numbers and more points in an NBA where teams played defense and he dropped 27 a game in college.... but he didn't line up next to Magic and Kareem so he was therefore worse.

Would you put him in the hall if Shaq & Kobe were his teammates though? Or if he joined Jordan and Pippen?

that's the problem with the Hall ...... if he were a Laker or Bull, he probably wouldn't have had those numbers he put up. So he would have gotten some nice jewelry, but would the numbers be good enough to get him in? Probably not.

But if he contributed like James Worthy did for the Lakers (plus J Dub had that NCAA le as well), then maybe ........
